  1. Thank you so much for the info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. My landing light switch on my 1989 Mooney TLS/Bravo is broken, where can I purchase one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Love my TLS Bravo....I've had for 22 years! IMG_0894.MOV
  4. Did the wobble test.....boroscope prior to finding out the springs broken....did not remove jug.
  5. Carusoam......don't scare me......I will call my mechanic to see if the valves moved freely and the rockers had no play!
  6. Ok....I can't post my attachment pics but I could put them on my gallery....! My plane runs so much smoother with new points, condensers on both mags, and new valve springs on cylinder #3.
  7. wont allow me to post my pics
  8. Eureka!!!! Broken valve springs! Closes valve for good compression until u start engine. Will post pics later!
  9. 2 new plugs....old plugs only had approx 850 ohms each!
  10. Checked the mags like U guys suggested and turning it to the left was still missing....no rise. checked the right, no rise but stumbling more. Checked top plug of cyl #3 and no spark...checked wire and leads...was fine. Took right mag off and found points heavy pitted...ran to Aircraft Spruce for parts..put it on...now we have spark at the plug. Guess what....still missing!!! The nubie mechanic that I fired said there were spark and he cleaned the injector....well, I will check the injector next week w Casper of Red Aero Aviation thats been doing this with me. Hope its not a valve or head! The fired, nubie mechanic said he checked compression too......I will have to check it myself again! Signing out for now till something new.....I still love my TLS Bravo !
  11. Found the problem.....Right Magneto is bad! started it on both mags.....feel the miss. Turn one click to to the left mag and NO change. Turn 2 clicks to right mag and it missed and stumbled very badly! I gues I might as well change both mags.
  12. Flew back from Monterey, CA....to...Redlands, CA. Very smooth flight for 1 hr 39 min. 8 miles from the airport I descended from 3K feet for left base RWY8. I don't know why I open the cowl flaps, usually do it on the ground, figure it was a 105 deg day. Well, on final i gve little throttle and noticed it was missing and cyl #3 on the egt and cht went cold. landed and lean it out trying to clean out foul plugs but to no avail! Mechanic change both plugs on that cylinder, fuel flows nicely and cleaned injector, compression were in mid 70's. We are stumped! Anyone with similar situation?
  13. Want 2 more seats!
  14. I want 2 extra seats that goes the same speed..............What do U think?
  15. My #5 cyl is colder too, its because they tied it to the original factory probe! I have had my plane since 1994 and always used 32/2400 and fuel flow of 19.7 gal/hr.
  16. My fuel pressure gauge quit, so my mechanic thought it was the transducer, bought new one for around $1800 and still didn't work. He removed the gauge on my TLS and found the wire chaffed and was pinched to ground! Repaired/insulate the wire and worked perfectly as before. Now I have an expensive spare!

  20. Quote: 74657 I used to fly over Lake Michigan with the Tiger. I was more worried about the fixed gear flipping the plane once it hit the water that the airplane floating. With the Mooney I can shoreline it to my destinations and still save 45 minutes on my trip. The 16:1 glide ratio is awfully tempting though.......
