  1. Ron... I just sent you an email. My Owner's manual says Manual Number 69-20C-OM-B On the Mooney website, it says it should be part number 1189. I can't find anywhere in the manual that says part number 1189. Does this mean I need to go out and buy a new Owners Manual? I think so, just checking to make sure I'm not missing something here. According to the FAA type certificate data sheet note 13, it says I need the owners manual for a 1969 M20C (no AFM, no POH) http://rgl.faa.gov/regulatory_and_guidance_Library/rgMakeModel.nsf/0/60107bc8954c93a686256c24005b5075/$FILE/2A3.pdf -Tom
  2. Its a 1969 Mooney M20C Ranger. The book says "a press-to-test button at the top of the instrument panel illuminates all annunciator lights simulataneously." I wasn't sure if that included the gear status lights (up/down) or just the warning annunciations (overvoltage/lo vac/hi vac). I am also curious what triggers the lo vac light. Would an airplane with the master switch on but engine off trigger a lo vac light? Or is it only triggered when the vacuum system is operating (ie. engine running) and there is a malfunction. The manual says "the Hi or LO vacuum annunciator light will illuminate if vacuum is above or below limits." Thanks, Tom
  3. I'm trying to find a 1969 M20C AFM... my POH appears to be the owner's manual, operating limitations and weight and balance. Mooney has some AFM pages posted on their website http://www.mooney.com/service-support/afm-supplements-2.html The M20C AFM is posted http://www.mooney.com/images/pdfs/mark20c_afm.pdf but appears to be for earlier year models. For example, the Vne is 200mph versus 189 in that document, Vno is 175 versus 150 in that document... That document refers to non-electrical flaps and movable cowl-flaps. Does anyone have or know where I can find a 1969 Mooney M20C AFM. Thanks, Tom
  4. I have a problem where I can't seem to get the annunciator lights to test with the push-to-test button. I checked the bulbs and they're all good. The gear lights work (up and down) respectively but none of the other 3 lights seem to work (overvoltage, Lo Vac, and Hi Vac). When you press the push to test button should all lights come on (Gear Up, Gear Down, Overvoltage, Lo Vac, Hi Vac)? When you power the airplane on before starting the engine, does the Lo Vac normally light up? (Mine does not) Any ideas for troubleshooting? Working with my mechanic as the airplane is in for the annual now. Thanks, Tom

  6. A few weeks ago, I took out the front seats from my 1969 M20C. And now I'm trying to remember how the seat rail limit stops were setup. (ie. so when I move the seat all the way rearward, it doesn't come off the tracks.) I have cotter pins but I can't remember if there was a securing bolt going accross or not. I looked on the parts manual and couldn't make sense of it. If anyone could explain it or ever better, take a picture, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Tom
  7. Anyone know a propeller shop in the Saint Louis / Midwest area that does the eddy current inspection for a reasonable price? I'de prefer some place where you can fly in and have it done. --Tom
