  1. Does anyone have any tips for flushing of the hydraulic flap/brake system? We discovered the hydraulic fluid has started turing to syrup; thinking its good idea to completely flush the system before replacing the fluid, but unsure of whats safe for the seals/o-rings...Any thoughts?
  2. Just in case anyone follows up on this thread looking for part#'s; I ordered from Lasar the pump and actuator seal kits: KIT098-001 KIT093
  3. I'm about to start annual on my 68C, been having issues with extending the flaps lately. It takes about 2-4 pumps to "energize" the pressure in the handle before they start extending. On rollout, raising the flaps takes several minutes (this seems excessive time to me). The brakes work fine, and reservoir at proper level. Was thinking it might be time to overhaul the hydraulic flap actuator (basically just o-rings right?). Anyone know if there are part#'s for a seal kit?
  4. According to Dan @ LASAR, they need enough interested parties to commit to purchasing the visors to run another batch and keep the cost down. LASAR needs about 40-50 orders to release the batch -- not sure how many they already have. I just added myself by completing the order form on their website and adding "add me to the order list" in the comments per Dan's instructions. If you need visors for pre '68 mooneys -- please join the list so we can them sooner :-) At this point, Dan's best guess was about 3-4 months out. If they get enough orders, they will build them sooner! LASAR page: http://www.lasar.com/mod-details.asp?id=26 Order page: http://www.lasar.com/parts/
  5. Look for visors for my '68 M20C as well. Have inquiry pending with Laser; based on bgpilot1's comment, doesn't sound promising. Any other options? I don't think the Rosen's will work since my '68 doesn't have existing mount points....
  6. N9937c - thanks for the info/part# -- called lone star, not in stock, and mooney shutdown -- not making parts, so I guess I'll have to fashion something up.
  7. Hi all- I had my trim freeze up on me recently. We tracked it down to the jack screw in the tail. It had protective cloth covering around it; was badly deteriorated so we removed it. Don't think anyone has lubed this in a great while. Cleaned and lubed everything real well and now the trim works better than when I first bought the plane. However, I have no idea where to find the protective cover that was around the jack screw and hinge? Looked like some mesh cloth tub that slid over the screw and hidge and then held in-place with 4 little tiny screws. Anyone know where/what it is made of or how I might fashion another one to keep debris from getting into the jack screw? Can't seem to find anything that references this cover/boot anywhere...
