Yesterday we chartered a Cherokee 6 from there back up to Nassau (see pic), and then flew back to Florida commercially. It is an absolutely beautiful place, with world-class snorkeling that we took full advantage of. The whole time I was there I was wishing that I had the plane. Without the borders and the bureaucracies that go with them, it would be an easy 675 nm nonstop flight from my home base. Perhaps one of these days I'll go to the trouble of jumping through the hoops that I would take to fly there privately. Thanks also for your pictures. I enjoyed them very much. Jim

We flew our Mooney Down to Stella Maris from Sant Augustine over Memorial Day weekend. It was great! Stay 3 night get a fourth night free and $300 private pilot discounts on top of that when you fly yourself there. You cant beat it. We utilize the turbo and fly high so your never really outside of gliding range from land for most of the trip. We rented a car one day and explored the entire island to include getting to Deans Blue Hole. A must if you visit long island. Next time they run the private pilot deal i suspect we will head down there again!
