  2. Quote: astelmaszek P.S. What do you guys think about taking out the MX-20 out of the panel (seem like an old painful interface) and just mounting an Aera connected to the 430 and audio panel in the same spot instead.
  3. Quote: DonMuncy If you will pardon me for bragging, my plane won the K model award. I took some photos of some of the planes, but none of my own. My plane can be seen on my photo gallery.
  4. It would be great if someone who was able to attend the PAPA Homecoming in Kerrville would post pictures, especially of the "best of model" winners. I saw Jolie's best M20E, but I would sure like to see pictures of the other winners and the runners up. If you post pictures of attendees, please put a name (first, last, or both) in captions. Thanks, Lew
  5. A smooth field might be bumpy, and there might be some damage to the plane, but theree are no ppower lines and no 18 wheelers on that smooth field and it should be much safer for more people. I admit that a successful landing on a road is one that you can walk away from, but there are too many possible hazards to make that my first choice.
  6. You should feel pretty safe with that offer, I don't think he would ever do it.
  7. This makes little sense to me. Is this some kind of sick joke? Why trash a good Mooney?....has to be something wrong that you aren't talking about.
  8. Quote: M20F Left handed and use one of these which works great in the lap http://sportys.com/pilotshop/product/9218
  9. I am pretty certain that new interior of almost any variety is going to be lighter than the original stuff removed. I am interested in knowing if a leather interior is heavier than a fabric one, and if so, how much heavier (or lighter). The 30+ lbs. mentioned in the first post was a reference to bladders instead of sealing a tank and how heated the postings get on adding that small amount of weight. I am thinking about a refurbished interior on a 231, and there isn't much useful load to play with there.
