  1. Is this what you suggest for the IO-360-A1A. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/siliconecalvecover_08-01314.php
  2. This is the picture on the pilot side. The front silver tube has a few drops of oil right at the bottom of it.
  3. It looks like a paper type I might just do new silicone does anyone have a part link?
  4. Had a A&P check it out he said that I was missing a screw on the cylinder head cap which is the grey caps towards the top of the engine, however that cylinder was not the issue. He said the front cylinder cover cap had a bit of oil so it might be the gasket. However, he tighten the cylinder head cover cap and then told me to keep an eye on it. If it still leaks it may need new gaskets where the cap goes. Will keep you guys updated.
  5. It is factory overhaul was done back in 2023 only has about 100 hours on it
  6. Thanks! So nothing to be concerned? Also is the oil burn normal?
  7. Hey everyone not sure if this is concerning. My current oil consumption is about .13qt per hour so essentially 1 quart every 7.6 hrs. Today when looking through the cowl flap door where the breather tube and blowout valve is I saw some oil on an intake pipe. Any ideas if the O-ring may need to be replaced. Oil pressure and consumption seem to be okay. Oil analysis also came back stating a healthy engine.
  8. Well the HSI is connected to the GPS for course guidance and there is no Localizer it is connected to. (GTN 635Xi) The only way to configure lateral and glidepath guidance is through the GPS. I am not sure with what compass swings are but we do have a compass deviation card which allows tells us what the magnetic deviation is. That was done in 2019. The HSI heading is only off by 5-7 degrees so it is still within the allowable limits.
  9. I usually start the airplane and then wait until it aligns itself and then fine tune it. However, after I make adjustments it goes back to the heading the unit had set. It is about 5 degrees off which is within the allowable limit so i have left it alone. I have no idea what you are referring to in regards to compass being swung Also when you say recalibrate the KA-51 are you referring to having my mechanic go into the GPS unit and reconfiguring it there?
  10. I have some good news! I think the gyro is working correct. Any way to check it? My glideslope indicator starting magically working and have been working for the last few flights, not sure what the issue was or what was going on! Also the events are I pull the plane out of the hangar and then start up. Wait a minute or two for Gps to get signal and then start aligning it so the nav flag disappear. The other day it was off by 5 degrees so I moved it over manually and then it started going back to the initial heading it was at prior to me adjusting it. I will see if my A&P can recalibrate the slaving unit to the cardinal settings! I went to a junkyard and was able to get another Ki 525A for a pretty good price going to have the shop pop it in and see if it works, if not my current one has started to work a lot better. I do want to do G5's or the Gi275 along with the Gi275 engine monitor!
  11. That is the one! That plastic vent piece I cannot find anywhere!
  12. Yes I have and temps have been dropping and are not as high as they used to be!
  13. That is what we thought based on temps but after diagnosing the sensor and moving it to cylinder 1 and ran it for a flight and back to cylinder 3 we came to the conclusion that it was working properly as cylinder 1 temps were super cool since it is in front of the engine bay!
  14. Based on the indications I am receiving yes. When I run it lean of peak I see CHT temps cooler, when I run it rich of peak I see it hotter just like my initial picture shows. My only thing is that is it normal to see oil temps as cool as shown?
  15. I ran the engine 25 degrees lean of peak today and granted today was a slightly cooler day but check the temps. I am sure once I get the things corrected you all listed it will definitely go down!
