  1. Doing a new overhaul on the interior of a 82K model. I see Mooney has a kit to install a armrest (140295-501). Has anyone had a lead on how to obtain one besides the salvage yards?
  2. surely you got this sold by now?
  3. Yes, we have the FAA packet gold seal and no 337 for that trim
  4. My son and I have been rebuilding a 77 J model that we bought couple years back. BTW, the prior owner was a A&P IA.... The prior owner passed away and his kids trashed all his personal belongings AND the log books to this airplane. Well with everything being overhauled and or new we are getting close to done. BUT, the aileron and the rudder have had a trim tab added. We found the aileron trim tab and servo paperwork and is by aero-trim so that STC is handled. However, the rudder has a adjustable by a link not a servo trim tab. Before we remove it has ANYONE seen these before and or have any knowledge of a existing STC? I will get some pics posted
  5. Airplane is new to me. Only flew it for 30 minutes to ferry it. I have been working on some bugs and getting close. Flew great but did get a low charge warning on ferry flight. I have since replaced the drive coupler and it is charging as it should. However, during running I get a constant warning tone from one of overhead speakers….beeeeeep-beeeeeeep-beeeeep. So I am looking at the score board of lights (btw all work on the test) and there are no indications for a warning just the annoying beeeeping. can someone tell me the items that can set this warning beep off? I also have the service manual and will try to track schematics to see what all is tied to it…. In the mean time I wanted to ask here for any advice. TIA, Tim.
  6. **UPDATE, Yes, You can get the alternator out the bottom if removing the oil filter adapter. Remove a couple of scat tubes and the LH innercooler support leg. I was able to drop it down and it was tight to get past the cowl flap actuating rod but can be done. I may remove this cross over cowl flap tube to reinstall just to be a little easier. It will go by but is to a millimeter in clearance at that point.
  7. Hello everyone...NEWBI here but not new to the aviation world. Glad to be a part of this community.. So I have used the search feature and found dual removal advice. My 1982 K Mooney has been sitting for several years and we are getting it back to service. I have found there is a bunch of talk about failed couplers which is indeed my low charge problem. However, going through service manual there is nothing on r and i alternator. Looks like a guy can pull the oil filter adapter and drop it down?? and or will I need to pull one mag also? Any advice???
