  1. BL Aviation out of Quebec Canada Just had mine overhauled great service, quick turnaround, good price.
  2. The Koop scoope and door open during taxi if I have a knowledgeable passenger.
  3. Did you try pulling the radio out of the tray and reinstalling? Usually that’s our first go to if we have radio trouble, it may be just a bad connection. It’s worth the effort and it has resolved radio issues for us in the past.
  4. Great outcome for the pilot and passengers, anymore information on what may have been the cause?
  5. I made a jig with a small 1/8” sheet of stainless steel I had laying around. I bent the steel around a pipe with a similar curve to what I needed, put the jig in my kitchen oven at 250f with a piece of polycarbonate on it waited 15 minutes it came out great. Trimmed it to shape drilled the holes and done.
  6. I can machine a new shaft but was hoping to not “reinvent the wheel” and find a decent used shaft.
  7. Still looking for a shaft! Also I went through the lasar site and didn’t find a listing for the air box shaft or the rebuild kit? Can someone point me in the right direction. would rather find a good used shaft but!
  8. I have the gauge from my 63 just removed and functional when removed. Upgraded to an engine monitor. I can send a picture if your interested.
  9. Does anyone one have a used or damaged air box laying around?
  10. What did they replace it with?
  11. I have the bearings and my flapper is good just need a shaft
  12. My carb heat shaft is worn, need a replacement shaft.
  13. Same issue we had in one of our aircraft, a 2 year old ACK ELT with the supplied “telephone” like cable from the ELT to the buzzer failed! Also keep an eye on the remote buzzer you have pictured, in our aircraft the battery was only 2 years old and it had started to leak and corrode the contacts.
  14. At some point parts for 60 year old planes are going too become obsolete and or to cost prohibitive and owner manufactured parts are going to become the norm to keep those aircraft flying. Or more and more good aircraft are going to become scrap because parts are more valuable than a flying aircraft.
  15. My boot is in decent shape but I have looked at modifying, the boot / replacing if the time comes for replacement. Shouldn’t be to much work to fabricate a flange to go from the square filter bracket to a 3 or 4 inch sceet with carbon fiber then if required another flange on the carb box.
  16. GA aircraft in our area has increased 10 times over, in the last 10 years.
  17. Can this be an owner manufactured part?? Im sure there is a better way to route a duct from the filter to the carb box! Manufacture a flange to accept sceet tubing for the flex point, same as most GA aircraft.
  18. Looks similar to my setup, are you running an oil filter?
  19. I have the service bulletin, it doesn’t address which line connects to where on the engine or direction of flow. We’re redoing the lines and want to verify routing
  20. Searched the site, looking for a few images. On my 63 C both oil cooler hoses are above my oil filter but the Lycoming site shows one line below the filter. I know It has been discussed on the forum but I didn’t find a definitive answer. SO???
  21. Thank you I’m just confirming what I have and after 50 years I find things get modified!!! And sometimes not for the best. We are installing a fuel transducer but wanted to verify the fuel line routing. Yes, we’ve added fire sleeve but the sleeve definitely makes the installation process more difficult.
  22. It’s a 63 with the sump in wheel well
  23. Searched through the site and found a couple of pictures. Some of the older treads have missing images. Trying to find a diagram or a couple of pictures of the firewall forward fuel line routing for the M20C.
  24. We camped at kosh ( camp schooler) a couple of times, we always rented a van in the area or rented and drove from wherever we fly into. We would purchased a blowup mattress and a couple sleeping bags at Walmart. Worked great, high and dry, close to the action, could leave our campsite whenever necessary to pick up for food or supplies.
