Had a similar problem with Century 2000. Trim circuit board was fried.

Just finished my first PPP at Lakeland,FL. I recently acquired my M20J, and felt I could use additional training especially with emergency training such as engine failures. This ground and flying training program far exceeded my expectations. The instructors are outstanding and the social activities with other Mooney pilots provide an unbeatable learning experience. I recommend this program to all Mooney pilots, but especially to first time Mooney owners. I have been thru many training programs and this is one of the best. Had the identical problem with my Century 2000. As suggested, avionics looked inside of flight computer and lower right section of my electric trim board was fried. Will attempt to repair board.

Mooney is at Chandler. I’m in Florida.
