  1. I can help. Please send a PM. Best regards aus Deutschland
  2. Up Limit Switch. Had exactly the same issue!
  3. Pretty normal!
  4. Hey, today, first flight this year I had a bird strike on my 1977 M20J What the experts here think about repair options? Any recommendation for good shops in Germany or Europe? I already talked to my insurance.
  5. Could be the up limit switch!
  6. Hi, anyone have an idea how to index the 3 blade prop on the A3B6D Engine? Does it make any difference regarding vibrations in the cabin? With the two blade it was a big difference after converting from A1 to A3 Engine. How it is with a 3 blade? thanks!

  8. I know the MT Props from other planes, but not on a Mooney. The only issue I know is the leaking grease. MT support is great, they fixed it for free after 5 years.
  9. Sorry, you are right. Of course there are a few useful answers here. Nevertheless, I am looking for more details regarding cruise performance, switching from 2 Blade McCauley to the 3 blade MT on a M20J. ;-) Thanks
  10. Hey guys, a lot to read, but no real numbers…. a lot of useless stuff. Anybody have some details about switching from 2 blade McCauley to a 3 blade MT on a M20J?
  11. Hi, looking for some experience about the MT 3 blade upgrade for the M20J. Now have the McCauley 2 blade. Especially some numbers about cruise speed would be great. Fester, equal or slower….? thanks!
  12. Have a look here:
  13. I am just preparing my mooney for annual inspection. There is a little Oil on top of the McCauley D20893-5 Governor at the screw. Please have a look at the picture. The red marking shows the screw where is a oil when you are looking from the top. I have no idea if it is only a plug or something else for adjustment. Maybe it is possible to just thighten the screw? What do you guys recommend?
  14. I had a stumbling engine a few minutes after departure at 3000ft two years ago. One injector was clogged. First time I only cleaned the injector and all works well for a few flights. Then I recognized a very high EGT on the EDM on one cylinder. Again one injector clogged. This time I also removed the fuel filter from the fuel servo. A lot of rust. Seems there was some water or something else in the servo. Since then I checked the filter every 50hrs. Until now it has been clean so I will change to inspect it every 100hrs. So always carefully check this. Definetly no fun with a nearly totally clogged injector!
  15. Solved! There are also needle bearings B47, same as for elevator and rudder bellcrank.
  16. Hi and a happy new year! I am preparing everything for 100h inspection starting next week. There is some play in the elevator controls. It seems to be at the Jackshaft Assy. The parts manual only shows there bolts, washers and nuts. Nothing about a bearing. On the attached picture it looks like a bearing?? Want to be sure that I have all parts before disassembling. Any experience? Thanks!
  17. Today I add fuel again. Leak is fixed! I like moneyspace.com. Thank you all!
  18. Today I confirmed the location with soap and blowing some air near the area leaking into the leading edge. Leak is exactly as you see on the picture. I cleaned this area with MEK and resealed with ppg sealer. Also sealed the lower access panel with the specific sealer. How long should I wait until adding fuel again?
  19. Hi, Have a Fuel leak on LH Tank running into leading edge near fuselage. Only with nearly Full Fuel. Today I removed the lower inner panel and identify the leak. Two small holes in the sealer. What is the best way to fix it. I have both sealers for the Tank/panel at home and plan to start work tomorrow. Thanks!
  20. Did the trim screw today. Bearings were completly dry! Cleaned everything and trim is working good as before. Its possible to disconnect trim in the rear. You have to disconnect the U Joint on both sides and slide it into the tube to remove the square. Then put out the nach screw.
  21. Hey, I want to check the jackscrew at me Mooney tomorrow. Plan is to remove bearings, disassemble, clean, grease and reassemble. Really good post here. Only question is... where I have to disconnect the trim rod that I can remove the bearing block? Is there enough free play to disconnect in the rear or is it necessary to disconnect the U-joint below trim wheel? thanks!
  22. Actuator is installed again and working like new :-)
  23. Avionik Straubing in Germany. Best shop in Europe!
  24. Had the same problem with my pitch servo. 4 Transistors in the servo have been changed. Servo is working perfect thereafter!
  25. Today I have turned the commutator. Was considerably out of round. With the new brushes motor is running like new. Except the bearings are not ok. So I have ordered two new bearings and hope to get them tomorrow. I think damage of the commutator was due to the bearings.
