Is it possible to install rudder extensions pedals upside down?
N231SM replied to N231SM's topic in General Mooney Talk
Yes. I am riding the breaks. Anyone think it is possible to somehow reverse the brackets so that the angle is different? It seemed to me that there was only one way. I have to use toes to work the bottoms as rudders then move up to catch the breaks. Not possible to have enitre foot on rudders now after the change. I have the 3" extensions. If you do, then you get braking action on takeoff. Anyone else.??? If I could lower the braking action, that would work. If you trop a plumb line from the top of the rudder, the bottoms are agood 1.5" forward of that point. I am on a trip. Otherwise I would just yank them. Yes- it says "M" not "W". Thanks guys. Jim -
Thanks everyone!

Anyone know where to get a low pressure primer solenoid?

Is it legal to remove the low pressure primer? -
Hello all, I finally figured out it is a shunt for the prop de-ice ammeter. There should be a fuse on each wire going to the meter. The connector looks like the connector that goes to the prop de-ice timer. So, again.........what a fantastic knowledge base. Jim

OK. A shunt. Is that what I am looking for in the wiring diagram? Small one- # 18 probably. I have a wire coming off one of the boots that looks like it should go somewhere. Tks

Hello all. This is located far right firewall under the glare shield behind the fuse column. I am wondering what this coil like part is. There are 2 rubber boots. Attached to one is a wire putting out .25v all the tiime from one of those boots, unaffected by master/avionics. There is a large connector as well. I have the diagram if someone could tell me what this might be. Also, does anyone have a list of all the likely in line fuses under pass and pilot dash? I am labeling them as fast as I can isolate them. There are 5 under the pass g-shield. Tks

Hi John, Can you give me the specifics on the backup AI? Thanks
-
OK guys Sorry to be so brief. Here is a pic I am doing some interior work and have all the interior panels off. This white ice make looking tubing is obviously distinct in it's appearance that it is whiter. The tubing comes from the inst panel along the RIGHT side and then down below under the rear seat via a factory looking gourmet. The routing is stupid because it is on the occupant side of the aircraft 4130. Identifying it could mean I can re-rout it so the side panel does not bulge. Sorry to be so brief. I am on all out crunch to get interior done for a lot of reasons. I am relatively new. Doing a MSN get together this year for OSH?

Thanks everyone. Brown is sending samples.

There is white tubing, approx 3/4" inch running along starboard side behind panels. Looks like large ice maker hose. It is on the wrong side of the tubing. Any ideas? thanks

"U" channel question- around windows: panels to windows. I have a few areas that are approaching ½" gap. The products below from AS are black. I'd rather have white. Has anyone tried these products and can you paint them? I tried Plane Plastics already. No joy 3/8" Another source? Thanks http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/channel05-11202.php?recfer=3740 http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/uchannel.php

Just made my baggage door cover nice and pretty with new paint. Only problem is when it is installed, the bar rubs on the cover. The bar also rubs on the alum trim and is gouging that out. See pics Tks

If you do not have a wiring knack please delete this. Is there a switch I am missing to activate the overheads? As I recall. They are -should be-constant hot. Where is the fuse? Serial # is 25-0317. The hot that goes to the front overheads is not longer hot. It was before I r/r interior. That stinks, but it is what it is. Wiring diagram - block 16 -shows the hot to the front overhead lights JK-LC 06A20 is supposed to bring in the power. It is coming from a dual pos at the “clock panel” via JK-LC-5A20. The other pos at the clock is JK-DV09A20, a hot coming - from- I do no know where. Anyone have a diagram for that? I am getting dizzy here. I have a Davatron clock. I assume that is not original. The power to the clock is unknown but the wiring is a lot smaller. So I assume that was changed and has a different hot. I suppose the thing to do disconnect the LC06A20 and run new power. It terminates there at the overhead light circuit and does not appear to continue anywhere else. I can put in a fuse and call it a day. Any ideas? Help/

K wrapping headliner around the air vents
N231SM replied to N231SM's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
The eyeball vents. -
Does anyone have a pic or know where I can find one showing the upholstering of the air vents on a 1980 vintage 231? I am at a standstill on proceeding with local upholsterer because they cannot figure out how to get those vents done. I talked to Aerocomfort. They said they use "seams" in those areas. ?? In the pic below, does anyone have a headliner wrapped with fabric around theses vents?, . If so, what material was used? Thanks I have attached a pic of these areas.

Thanks Yetti. She has jacks in backseat. I will start another topic on USB charging. My IA will sign off if placed in back cargo area direct battery so he can see it easily. As I am new, where is click-section to look at Mooney events? I bumped into a bunch Mooney guys at the FBO in Madison last yr just prior to OSH.
