If you were to do it over and were in my shoes with my setup what would you recommend?

Looks like you have a garmin 650 gps? Is that correct. I'm prolly a couple years away from getting a GPS added into my Mooney. Should I opt to just get a 650 and go with this audio panel?

I've read about this light as well as AeroLEDS Sunspot 46LX light. Can anyone compare the two? Is there much difference besides the price?

I've attached a picture...I believe its a KMA-20TSO and I have a Sigtronics SPA-400 TSO Intercom. I'd really like to have isolation from passengers if I want and I'd like music input for myself/crew and passengers and be able to isolate. Bluetooth would be a plus! long term I'd like to add a Garmin 650 or 750 Nav if that matters. FYI...this image is a bit older the ADF, Loran and Transponder are all gone and was replaced with the Stratus ESG ADS-B just recently...the right stack only has the Stratus ESG at the very top and a blank plate below.

I'm new to this plane and aviation in general so forgive me if I'm not following you completely. I purchased the plane in September and it does have a 4-place intercom system. The functionality that I'm looking for is pilot/crew isolate and a way to input audio/music for all/crew/passengers. I'd like to get something that is reasonable and won't be too difficult to swap out with the existing.

Was wondering if anyone has put in this audio panel and curious to see how plug and play it actually is. It'd be replacing my panel that's original to my 77 M20J.

@Awqward Would you mind linking me to the Whelen Parmethius LED landing light that you installed. Is it a 1 for 1 swap from the halogen lamp?? Chad

Am I understanding right that I may run into problems with the method I used? I'm thinking this solid piece of aluminum will last quite awhile and its protected even more now that it's powder coated.

It can't rust if it's been powder coated though.

@INA201 - Yes it was pretty easy with the right tools. Used a steel brush grinder to take off that plastic coating and knock off the corrosion. Sanded it down by hand a bit and also used air disc grinder sander fine grit pads from Harbor freight. @Bob - Nope didn't bead blast, was worried that it'd prolly pit the aluminum but I may try it when I take the other one off. I'll let you know how that goes. No undercoating under the powder and I got the powder coat from Harbor Freight for $6. I was gonna put a coat of clear on it but I ended up really liking the flat look. Did 2 coats of powder and baked it at 400 for 20 minutes each time. @Piloto - Thank you!! I'm pleased with it as well! Here's my new baby. Got her last week... haven't had time to post a picture. I'm new to the forum.

Had the help of my neighbor powder costing my controls while they were off for a modification. I'm moving my electric trim controls to the right thumb side because I'm a left hand amputee. I'll post finished product photos.

I have a 77 m20j needing 2 switch covers too. Fuel boost and anti collision lights. any luck finding these covers?
