Thanks, guys. I'll try the suggested acetone and alu tape before reinstalling the seat pan.

Group, I started repairing the plastic panels in my J and, upon removal of the rear seat plastic pan, discovered a mess of duct tape covering the top of the spar and the access panels aft of the spar. Is this something the factory did, or just a bandaid that a previous owner or A&P had used? Terry Edwards, CA

Late to the game here...4 years active Army, "way back in the Cold War", then 10 years Army Reserve. Presently, 17 years active Air Force and counting. Now at Edwards AFB...an air show every day out here.
