  1. my plane is 1963!
  2. PM sent. please read
  3. please pm me or write here. prefer white. I think is easiest to get it via greyhound. I'm in Los Angeles. Thanks
  4. Aha! Very interesting. And I can get to it from inside the plane (after I remove the upholstery behind the pedals) or from the engine side by removing this plate that sits behind the air intake? Thanks!
  5. Hi. I did some play tests and it looks like most of the play in my nose wheel comes from this bolt being loose. But it loos like that horizontal rod is flush with the aluminum sheet metal above it. What is the procedure for tightening that bolt? Thanks
  6. so which lines get covered with sealant? and why do i have a groove between red and magenta? I noticed there is a matching hole on the outer cover (the one that is missing) so I'm guessing that's some sort of drain. Is that right?
  7. Hi. In first picture: where do I need to apply sealant before attaching the avionics cover? second: how important is that rubber boot and what makes it necessary? How do you replace it? thanks
  8. I used it for over 1000hrs so far, it wasn't probably brand new when i got it.
  9. Hello. Where can I find small brushes (2.5 x 2.5mm) such as those found inside the rate of turn indictor? - Thanks
  10. brand new. ordered it and then decided to use something else. Retails for $2000 plus tax, selling it for $2000 flat, save $200 I did not even open it or anything like that.

  12. hi. do you have more pictures? A phone number? Or call me please 310 384 7428 thanks
  13. up. still looking
  14. sounds interesting. please call me to discuss.
  15. If anyone knows something, please let me know. I need it to pair it with my GNS430W for the ADSB-Out Thanks, Radu 310 384 7428
  16. thanks! so regarding the red fuel hoses: the upper one is going to the mechanical fuel pump and the lowest red one goes to the carburetor fuel intake. However, what's behind the firewall in that box I didn't find out. The fuel pump noise comes from that area but seems to be a little more aft. Could it be that the two pumps are connected in parallel instead of series?
  17. this is pretty much the same theory that applies to most internal combustion engines such as those used on cars (PCV system) and the oil is caught and the gasses are fed to intake to be burned again and nothing crazy happens there. I got my 88 carrera and my 73 beetle with original engines and they still work within acceptable parameters. yeah, that should be pretty easy, only that I wasn't at the plane when making the assumptions, I was at home. Been pretty busy these days passing my CFI exam and also rain prevented me from going back to my old mooney, but I'll do this shortly and post results. Not so much that I have to worry about budget but enough to have the belly greasy most of the time. so I guess 1 qt every 5-10 hours or so (less when doing long flights, more when circling around doing pattern work). I also never had a problem with foul spark plugs.
  18. are you talking about the connection that I circled in green? the lower hose goes to the carburetor while the upper one goes to the fuel pump. I figured that box might be the electrical pump. am I wrong?
  19. today a friend was watching my plane and told me that, as soon as I started the engine, a liquid started dripping from this hose in the picture. It smelled like avgas and I was able to trace it up to the mechanical fuel pump. I wasn't able to find anything about this drainage in the POH. is this normal (i.e. over pressure relief of some sort) or malfunction? also I see that a lot of oil is coming through the breather hose from the engine case. I heard there are some oil separators that can be installed to reuse the oil and prevent spillage on the belly. do you guys use oil separators? can it be legally installed using an STC? thanks Thanks
  20. so this is ez turn lube is pretty much for the internal parts of the fuel valves as well as tappered/threaded fittings, right?
  21. bingo! just when I was about to have it taken out I did this and it went back to turning easily. I guess it was running dry thanks!
  22. 1963 M20C my selector is similar to this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/142987866303 recently started turning harder than before. still works and doesn't leak. 1. where do I send it for repairs? 2. is there a repair kit for it? Thanks
  23. I called you but the phone is off. please call me back 310 384 seven for two 8
  24. to me it looks more like a job for an electrician not a mechanic...
  25. the only problem is the instructions don't say where to get the continuous PLUS because they don't know the kind of plane I'm putting it in. I'll run the wire to the main solenoid with an inlnie fuse then....
