Eric Hagopian 68 Timber Dr. East Longmeadow, MA 01028 413-237-1383 eric.hagopian@gmail.com For sale is my 2008 Mooney ACCLAIM Type S. I purchased it from the original owner and have enjoyed it for the past 2 1/2 years but needed to move to a bigger airplane for family reasons. The airplane is in nearly brand new condition with everything working perfectly. It has the desirable and very expensive WAAS and Synthetic Vision Technology upgrades as well as electronic charts and active traffic. If I could afford to keep it I would but I've taken delivery of my new plane and this one must go. My planes are always hangared, washed and waxed regularly as well as oil changes every about 25 hours. The aircraft is located in Massachusetts at Westover Air Reserve Base KCEF. New Mooney Ovation vs used Ovation
hoppetool replied to manoflamancha's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
How about a used Acclaim Type S instead? Lots more usability than the non turbo Ovation for nearly the same price. I'm selling my 2008. It's listed on mooneyspace and Controller. WAAS and SVT upgraded. $419,900.00. http://mooneyspace.com/topic/14645-2008-mooney-acclaim-type-s-for-sale/?p=199024 -
Folks, I've located the airplane I want to replace my Acclaim Type S with and have lowered my price for a fast sale. This is one hell of a fast and beautiful aircraft. Great deal at $419,900.00. Call to text if interested 413-237-1383 Eric

I've identified the airplane I'm wanting to purchase and as such, have decided to lower the price of my Acclaim S to $419,900.00. This makes it the best no excuses Acclaim S on the market. Even lower than the non "S" models.

Mooney International (Chino) wants to lease my Acclaim
hoppetool replied to Joe Zuffoletto's topic in General Mooney Talk
Looking to move up to a twin so the lease works at the right price. Fact is, it's probably best to just sell the M20TN and move up afterward. I offered Mooney that option at a reasonable market value but they declined. I really like the Mooney and will probably keep flying it for a while before making any moves unless something interesting comes along or a buyer at the right price. -

I'm not familiar with RYY. I'm based in MA at CEF and in GA at SAV. -

No emotions here, I'm happy to buy another airplane while they use the Mooney and sell it afterward. The calculation on value of the lease rate is mathematical only - emotionless. -

Made counter-offer and they said no thanks. What's that say about the perceived value of the airplanes their selling? -
Tail Section Service Bulletin/AD on M20TN

I see you're from Perry. My Dad used to own a company named Hye Precision Products there which is still in business making golf ball molds. Purchased my first car in Perry at age 13 - 1965 Mustang fastback. Safe flying. Eric -
Tail Section Service Bulletin/AD on M20TN
hoppetool replied to hoppetool's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
Yes, so far, very happy with the quality of service and timeliness of the work. Had the annual/pre-buy done there when I purchased the aircraft last year and wanted to come back to have them perform the work. Not sure of the AD number off hand but it only applies to like the last 25 airplanes Mooney built before going dark. -
My M20TN Acclaim Type S is in for the tail section AD. Thankfully mine doesn't need the new parts but now seeing what parts are in question, I can see why the urgency on getting the inspection done. 10 hours from the AD notice..... Makes sense to me now. Thanks to Daytona Aircraft for jumping right on this. I'd recommend them for this work - contact Jake Clemens.

Mooney International (Chino) wants to lease my Acclaim
hoppetool replied to Joe Zuffoletto's topic in General Mooney Talk
Mooney says they'll pay $175/hr for a 20/hr per mo lease for 6 mo. No loss value comp for damage to your A/C and $150/hr for time above 20 hrs/mo. Just the cost of the money is worth more than they're offering to keep the A/C full time and fly it. The terms would need to be far better to make it worthwhile. Oh, and you get the privilege of paying for repairs if needed. Bandits! -

The Mooney service bulletin indicates that they're paying for parts and a defined amount of labor. Daytona aircraft says it'll take more than that which Mooney says it will but perhaps that's just because they haven't done one yet. I suggest reading the AD note and Mooney SB to familiarize yourself. I phoned Mooney Chino yesterday but received no return call. -

I received the letter yesterday as well. Tough to lease my airplane now when I've only got the next 10 hours to fly it! Just found out that the tail section has to come off the airplane to comply with the latest Airworthiness Directive. Suggest all TN model owners check into this ASAP. It just came out last week and you only get 10 hours to comply. As for leasing, I'm going to call these guys and see what they have to say. I'm not one to let anyone fly my airplane but who knows what they'd be willing to do in an effort to have aircraft to demonstrate. Pretty tough to sell what you can't show. Opportunity is knocking.... -
I too would like to put a hot prop on my Acclaim. The advantage is that even though the airframe has ice (heavy), the engine/prop will make the same amount of thrust thus aiding the airframe ice issue. I have a hot prop on my Bonanza and it also does not have de-ice on the wings. If the prop ices up, there's no thrust. Add to an iced up airframe and you've got serious trouble. I'd prefer a de-iced prop to what amounts to swinging a baseball bat in the wind trying to get thrust..... All that said, the question still remains. Does anyone know of STCs for hot props on modern Mooneys?
