  1. Nice 1967 Mooney M20C. 3526 TT, 1107 SMOH, new Hartzell Top Prop 129 hours. All log books since new, and no major damage history. Annual completed 9/18. Fuel tanks resealed, new battery (gill) and starter (skytech). 2 KX-155 radios and 2 vor (1 w/gs) and PA501 ICS 4 place intercom. Wing leveler, johnson bar and cowl closure. Interior is in good shape, paint is a really pretty red color(I hand wax it once a year). Other items are a new cabin cover(never used), Tanis Heater, AUX power plug, newer suspension donuts, replaced oil and hydraulic hoses, no propeller or ignition switch AD’s and adjustable pilot and copilot seats. Just a basic airplane that never gives me problems just retiring and time to sell. • Contact Brett Kallish, Owner - located Breinigsville, Pa. USA • Telephone 484-350-7350 39,000

  3. Did it have shoulder harnesses?
  4. Hi Jim, How much are you selling the DME for. Mine does not work at all so this would be a step up.

  5. Prebuy and Annual Brett
  6. I had my prebuy done on a C at Byerly about 2 years ago and was very happy with their work. I think that the person, who was the head of maintenance at the time, retired and I think his name was Kerry. He seemed to know a lot about Mooney's and was very easy to deal with even though I am in Pennsylvania. But as I said I was very happy with their work. Brett
  7. Yea, I kind of figured that I was going to have to remove the u-channel. How careful do I have to be because it seems to be part of the windshield structure. Is the u-channel a part of the sandwiching of the windshield and is there some kind of sealant under the u-channel? Brett
  8. Andy, Thanks for the schematic but I don't think I explained enough. The 2 torpedo lights work and the fuel selector light works. The wire that I disconnected that stopped the breaker from popping, was one of three from the rheostat, that went along the roof of the cabin forward to the front, somewhere. What I am trying to figure out what it connects to. The compass light does not seem to work but from the schematic it seems to be connected before the rheostat. The instrument lights do not seem to work so if it is that, are there single lights in each instrument , if so then I guess I would have to check the wiring under the panel that would power each instrument. Brett
  9. Well I finally pulled the overhead down and started to figure out which wires of the 6 up there was the problem. I ruled out 3 of them and the 3 left went along the roof up to the front. I started to disconnect them one by one and then see if the breaker pops. The first wire disconnected was the culprit. So now I have to figure where this wire leads to. The light at the pilots knee seems to work fine, there are still no lights for the instruments or the compass. The light on the compass is in the inside of it, my question is are the instrument lights on the inside of them and which ones are usually lit. Again thanks for everybodies help as you gave me some good ideas on how to search for this problem. Brett
  10. Thanks for the suggestions, I am working through them but no luck so far but the journey continues. I did notice that when I turn up the rheostat to its highest level about 3 seconds later the wet compass starts to swing then the circuit pops and the compass returns to where it was. Brett
  11. Hi folks, I have a 67 m20C and I can turn the white overhead light on and off with no problem but when I turn the overhead knob all the way, for the red lights, the circuit breaker pops. I looked for frayed wires but still cannot find anything out of the ordinary. I also searched through this website but could not find anybody with a similar problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Brett
  12. Carusoam, I would appreciate your contact information. Brett
  13. Does anybody know of a place or person that would allow me to do an owner assissted annual near the Allentown, Pennsylvania area, as I am not working at the moment and I totally enjoy working on my airplane. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Brett
  14. Marauder, I have 2 vor's and tried both with the same result.
  15. Hi Folks, I have a KN-64 in my 1967 C model that I bought a year ago. The DME only worked once for about 3 minutes. Normally I just see dashes for the read outs but today I unhooked the cable from what I think is the correct antenna connection. I went back into the airplane and the remote[vor] setting had data on it ,not the correct data but data none the less. That lasted for about a minute and then went to dashes. I switched to freq and got a reading for about 10 seconds and it went back to dashes again. I rehooked up the antenna and just got dashes again. Does anybody have any idea if maybe it is the cable or antenna or the KN-64 that is acting up. Brett
  16. Thank you all for your suggestions. At this point I am trying to get the local mechanics at Queen City airport, near Allentown, to look at the problem but they do not seem to have much time to work on my Mooney. So when I get some information I will update here. Brett
  17. Hi folks I was wondering if somebody can help me with something that happened. The last time I went flying I used the Wing leveler for the first time, after about 30 minutes the high vacuum light came on and I flew back to the airport and landed. Today when I turned on the master the preflight list says the low vacuum light should go on but it did not. I pushed the light in and it lit up. So I decided to run the engine up to see what was happening. As I started to taxi the high vacuum light came on then went off as I continued to taxi. I ran the engine up and all was fine. Then I gave full power and a few seconds later the high vacuum light came on again so I went back to the hanger and shut down. I do not know if this has anything to do with it but the battery was low and I had a hard time to get it started. As I said I do not use the wing leveler and keep a rubber band around the button. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Brett
  18. Hi Allen, I am looking for shoulder harnesses for my C . Is there a way to take them out with all the parts needed to install. I am just over in Allentown so I can come over anytime. Brett
  19. Well folks it turns out that it was the plug in back of the gauge. I couldn't figure it out myself so I took it to the local mechanic and he fixed it. Went flying today and everything went well. Thank all of you for all your suggestions. Brett
  20. Hank, thanks for the suggestion, I will try it tomorrow. Bob, I was not planning to fly it and I am an old PP, too. Brett
  21. Hi folks, I was flying my new to me 1967 Mooney C yesterday and after about 30 minutes I saw that my oil temp was close to the red mark so I turned back to the airport and tried a few things to cool the oil down. The temp went above the red before I landed. Shut her down and went home. Today I went back to the airport and checked the oil level and it was about 6 quarts which is the same as yesterday, then I turned on the Master and the oil temp gauge, which was at the left or 0 degrees went right up to 160 degrees without the engine on and it was about 50 degrees outside. In about 5 minutes it went up to about 180 then wobbled a little bit and held there. It seems to me that it was not the oil heating up to cause this problem so I am going to start looking at the wiring to see if there is a short or something is loose. Do you folks have any thoughts on where to look and would you still fly without a working oil temp gauge until it is fixed. Brett
  22. I want to thank you all for all the positive replies. This is not my first airplane but I am pretty excited about getting this one. As I said before we are waiting for the annual and a couple of extras to get done by Byerly aviation in Peoria then go on out there and get my complex sign off. I found an instructor at Mt Hawley airport, at Allmond aviation, in Peoria. So thank you all again. Brett
  23. We'll folks on Wednesday I paid for N9697M a Mooney C based in Janesville, Wi. The owners seemed to have kept this airplane in good condition and we're very easy to deal with. It is now in Peoria, Il at Byerly who did a good prepurchase and is now finishing the annual. Now when it is done I get to go to Illinois, take 5 hours dual, per insurance, then fly home to Allentown, Pa. If anybody knows of someone in the area the can give dual in a C model I would appreciate the help. Brett
  24. Hi Folks, I finally have a prepurchase that will roll into an annual at Byerly aviation in Peoria if all is ok. Now I need to find somebody in the area for complex aircraft and transition training. Does anybody on this forum know and can recommend a good instructor for this training. Brett
  25. Hi Folks, Does anybody have any knowledge of Byerly Aviation for a prepurchase and an annual for a Mooney C. Brett
