  1. Hello fellow Mooney drivers! I find myself in a very familiar situation to many other airplane owners. My wife, child and I have enjoyed N5576Q for about 1.5 years now, and looked forward to welcoming the second child into the family and life with a Mooney. We just went to the doc though and found out we're expecting twins! So unfortunately, we cannot hang on to this plane. If you or anyone you know is looking for a quick, reliable E model, this has been a great little plane and the new owner will not be disappointed! General details listed below: N5576Q ~4800 TTAF ~1800 SMOH Annual/IFR Cert accomplished 3/14 Complete Logs, no damage history All the major 201 speed mods Average Paint/Interior Hangared in Nebraska For a list of comm/nav equipment, pictures, additional details, or for questions please PM me. Thanks!! Jon
  2. you mind PMing that estimate to me as well? My tanks are just about ready for a little TLC.
  3. what's the price tag for the PP alternators?
  4. I agree with Cruiser. Also, if you have opportunity to ride/fly in a Mooney with a buddy before you buy, it'll give you a better perspective on what to expect performance-wise out of the bird you are looking at. Obviously every plane has its own "personality" but having very little experience with Mooneys before I got mine, I found it very helpful/informative to spend time in one before spending money on one.
  5. I'm at CWS (Conway). Flew back from Oklahoma and enjoyed the 30 minutes that breeze shaved off! Moodychief, where are you?

What part of Arkansas are you in?

Yes, what part of AR? I'm at KASG. I flew to Houston on 4-19, that breezy-ness you were talking about was a nice tailwind for my trip. Saw ground speeds exceeding 185 kts in my "J". Also had a tailwind on the trip back on Monday. That doesn't happen very often (at least not to me).

Hopefully heading to Cherokee village (Sharp County Regional) next week to see sister and get a little golf in. It WAS breezy. Enjoy!

  7. Awesome, thanks everyone! Got into a spot at Conway. Appreciate the pointers though!
  8. well, i'll tell you in a few days. Getting this all squared away has been about as much fun as a sharp stick in the eye. I'll pick it up this weekend (as long as the wx holds up). All of the sudden hangar space is at a premium around here unless you want to pay through the nose for it...1st world problems I guess. How's Enid America?
  9. Anyone have or know someone who has hangar space in/around the Little Rock, AR area they'd be willing to rent out for a few months? Thanks!! Jon
  10. I'm looking to see if anyone is or knows a good A&P that's familiar with mooneys and could do a pre-buy on '65 E in Paris TX. Thanks! Jon
