  1. I'm in the same boat with my F. I'm not happy at all.
  2. How are these working out? Just curious if I should keep some on my wishlist. Thanks, Vince
  3. Congrats! I had a problem with my High/Low vac lights in my F when I bought her which required a new sensor. If yours is the same as mine, it took a few weeks to receive it after ordering. Good luck and happy flying! Vince
  4. Looks like someone photoshopped the picture to make it more dramatic. Either that, or the lights and reflections were just right to make the scene appear even worse than it already is.
  5. How do I get on this mailing list?
  6. If the weather is VFR, I'm very interested! Less than an hour from Greenville, should be a great time.
  7. Congrats! I need to get on that myself.
  8. It looks like that is only needed for Gen1. Good information!
  9. Thanks, Tom. The "Valid through: 9/30/2014" on the table lead me to believe this is special pricing, but I figured checking with the experts here would let me know if it is just creative marketing.
  10. I noticed that Power Flow exhaust systems for the Mooney are on sale right now. I was wondering if anyone knows how regularly these sales happen, or if this is a one-time thing. I'd like to wait to get the system if possible, but it looks like a deal too good to pass up if it isn't a regular occurrence. http://www.powerflowsystems.com/products.php?cat_id=5&pid=46 Thanks, -V
  11. It would be greatly appreciated. Especially in a hot day and the local $100 hamburger is a mile or 2 away!
  12. I should say, it bounced at irregular intervals through nearly 180 degrees. I think that is a more accurate description.
  13. While stationary at near 180, my old compass would bounce continuously from almost due West to almost due East. Very frustrating
  14. Thanks, guys. I think the compensator balls are what we were planning. The previous owner had a magnet glued to the glare shield and we got rid of it. I guess we discovered the reason for it! Is that your correction card on the post, Marauder? I wasn't sure where to put mine (nope, I didn't have one before. Bad me. )
  15. Hey all, today my IA and I installed a PAI-700 in my '75 F. We calibrated North/South, then hit a snag on East/West. While pointing due East, the compass was indicating about 030 degrees. There wasn't enough adjustment available to get anywhere near 090. He is going to call to get guidance, but I thought I would see if anyone on here has run into this. Thanks! Vince
  16. I had to have a weight and balance done on my aircraft when I bought her. it looks like Muncie Aviation did mine for $85 if I'm reading my invoice correctly.
  17. I got my pre-buy done at Muncie. Just be aware that they will not do a pre-buy only, it is a full annual.
  18. Not a problem. I won't be down to see her until around the 10th, but I'll take and post pictures then.
  19. I happened to be on the phone with them as you posted, Marauder. The gentleman said it is not a "mod." No paperwork. It is just something they make and an owner/operator can install.
  20. LASAR has the replacement lens in stock for $30 in case anyone else is looking. p/n LLLK Lens
  21. Thanks! After looking at the LASAR lower cowl mod on their site, the same lens fairing is on the pictured aircraft, so I am assuming it is LASAR. I sent them an email requesting information. I hope to complete my profile with pictures soon. Need to get her out of annual first! Thanks again!
  22. After looking through some pictures on MooneySpace, I believe it is aftermarket. The bulb didn't melt, just the lens. Marauder, attached is a picture from her pre-purchase inspection. Shane was testing the light. Thanks, All!
  23. Sometime before I got my 1975 M20F, the landing light must have been left on for an extended period and the lens has a melted spot a little larger than a quarter. While she is down for her annual, I decided to upgradeto a Parmetheus bulb and would like to put a fresh lens on, but I can't seem to find a replacement for the F-model. Does anyone know where to find one? Thanks!
