Mooney65E Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 I've got an old pair of Lightspeed 20XLs and have enjoyed them for about 10 years now. They are cracked in several places and have been bandaged together and returned to service until I decide to shell out money for another pair as good as these. Lately they started making an intermittent buzz in one ear so I called Lightspeeds customer support to see how much it would cost to have them rebuilt. The friendly voice on the line said they would repair them free of charge and pay shipping both ways or they would give me a trade in allowance of $250 towards a new set of Sierras or Zulus. I don't recall how much I paid for these headsets about a decade and some 800-900 flight hours ago, but if I can still get $250 trade in on another Lightspeed product with awesome customer support...I'm there. My old pair is on its way to Lightspeed and my new Sierras will soon be under the tree. Another pirep to follow. Quote
KSMooniac Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 They do stand behind their stuff, no matter how old. I have a 15k, 30-3G and two first-gen Zulus. I just bought a beyerdynamic HS600 DANR and can't wait to compare with my Zulus. Quote
DrBill Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Here here.... I too had a pair of 20XL, upgraded to 30-3G and then upgraded to Zulu. Great support all along. BILL Quote
jetdriven Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 I bought my wifi a set of Zulu2 this month. She wouldn't trade her 15 year old David Clark 10-60s in at Oshkosh so I bought a 100$ set of flightcom ANR off eBay and got 300$ in trade in the Zulu2. We haven't used them yet, but as a Bose X owner I feel the need to test them thoroughly before letting her usethem Quote
