Can anyone recommend a “midwest” service center or independent mechanic they trust? I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin, so driving distance would be awesome. I used to use Northwest Flyers out of Schaumburg IL, but they sold off the FBO in February.

Hey guys! I wanted to let our customers (current and potential) know we're all caught up! We're no longer behind struggling to catch up. Tamara is also back to work regularly. 2017 has been an interesting year: we sold our home, purchased the new one, moved in and are as settled as we can be with the light remodeling. With that said, if you need maintenance now is the time to come to us! We're wide open after Christmas - which is not a good place to be if we want to keep our doors open. If you don't have a maintenance need, please pass the word along for us! We hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I just wanted to tell everyone how great of a service that I got at this place. I need my wing rigging checked and these guys stayed late on a Friday to hook me up, and wouldn't go until it was finished and I test flew the plane several times. It is a family run business and also an authorized service center. This guy knows mooneys very well. I am going back there for my annual for sure. He is base near Charlotte at Foothills Regional.. I know people usually get the bad posts, but I wanted to post a good one. Mark Weidner

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum ... so, thank you for allowing me to join! I have heard great things about the group and, now owning a Mooney, I thought that I'd jump right in! I have a J-model for which I would like to purchase some parts, in particular several inspection covers, the wing-tip and leading-edge lenses, and perhaps a few miscellaneous parts like fuel gage sending units, etc., that are found to need replacement. I spoke with the factory and, indeed, they are supplying parts for our lovely birds, but we are relegating to buying them through a service center. Not a bad thing, necessarily, since they can help with getting the exact right part, etc., but there is the question of the price that they will charge. The factory does not provide an MSRP list to general customers and said that the service centers are free to set their own pricing. Has anyone found a service center which is particularly good at being helpful while charging a fair, yet not exhorbitant, price for parts? Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated ... by everyone in the forum, not just me, I would assume!! Thanks ... and, fair skies! Andy
