Installed a new Hartzell scimitar propeller on a 77J. A few observations: Yellow arc on tach has no reason to be there indeed. Operation sound smoother although I think I will do a dynamic balancing sometime soon The oil temperature appears to be lower. ( the temperature needle used to be right on the vertical line of the F before, and it is now well below that). Better cooling because the bulkhead change ? The CHT is a little lower too. Speed seems to have increased about 2 knots as reported elsewhere , but that's just me dreaming or justifying further my spending

I have an Ovation 2GX with the 310 hp STC and 3 blade prop. I have 1250 hours and 7 years on this prop assembly. The engine (1500 hrs) is currently having all 6 cylinders overhauled (1st cylinder replacement). Two questions: 1) is there any reason I should have the prop governor overhauled now 2) any idea of how much it should cost? Thanks.

I have a Scimitar Top Prop with under 150 hrs that was removed from a M20 due to a imcompatibility issue with a 337 that was installed on the Aircraft. This is a good opportunity to obtain one of these for a reduced price. New Propeller with Back Plate and Spinner is 9500. I am asking 7500.
