Thanks all for the great feedback, "...just more expensive than I was prepared for", as Bnicolette says, seems to be the norm for the governor. While more costly up front, going the PCU 5000 route and recouping some of the cost by selling the core as N601RX may be the least expensive long term.

Anyone encounter intermittent operation of the autopilot disconnect alarm? My J Model has a Century 2000 Autopilot that works very well, but lately and not always, the alarm I normally get when disconnecting the autopilot during the preflight check will not sound. No problem with the in flight operation of the autopilot thanks in advance
