  1. Been flying our Rocket for 24 years. It's fast & reliable. Just needs some newer avionics....
  2. I've been flying a Rocket for 19 years now. Still a kick #*** unit. No problems, great conversion...!
  3. Thanks to all comments and suggestions. I spoke with Precise Flight (the manufacturer) and they suggested I send them back for an inspection. They've worked flawlessly for over 16 years and gotten me out of quite a few tight spots so I think I'll do that. S/F Mike
  4. Two days ago, the left speedbrake deployed about 1/3 of the way up and started “fluttering”. But it retracted OK. Then it did the same thing but after a couple minutes, would not deploy at all. Has anyone experienced this or know what the problem is? I drive a rocket conversion and sort of rely on them .
  5. Darren, I sent you an email... Mike
  6. PWK to LNL. Do some work on a northwoods cabin.....
  7. I've been flying my Rocket since 93 and haven't experienced any negative landing characteristics. If my memory serves me, it lands better than it did prior to the conversion...
  8. Any suggestions as to where to find fuel cap gaskets for an 85 M20. Would Lake Aero be the place for find them? Thanks...
  9. I was also looking for fuel cap gaskets for an 85 M20. Would Lake Aero be the place for find them?

  12. Got a 85 Rocket for sale. 260 SMOH....have owned it since 93. Great plane. No longer fly it much
  13. I lost mine a long time ago....just make one up.
  14. I never had any problems with the winds in the Chicago area. It was more of a struggle with dodgeing T storms in the in the southern states and icing conditions in the northern states... The rocket has plenty of power to get above or out of the way of those bad things. Its a great conversion!
  15. I flew our Rocket almost every week back & forth from Florida to Chicago (266 times) over a six year period. I found it to be a fast, econonomical & stable cruiser with little maintanence problems. Its a great package!
