  1. I am currently TDY in Tx for the next few months and I understand that theres not much going on with the factory right now, but I am looking to find out if they are still offering tours on the weekends? I looked on their website but it wasn't much help, so anyone with any info would be great.
  2. I am currently flying out of Panama City (KPFN) or at least that is when the plane is down here. I am stationed down here and the old guy comes down to visit once in a while, giving me a chance to get a little more flying time in the mooney.
  3. Not saying that it is a bad deal but I also know there are better deals out there to be had. Just got done shopping the whole mooney market and ended up with a 97 ovation 2 for a great price. One that has less than 700 hours and no major damage history. Someting to keep in mind with the higher time motor if it were replaced with a factory reman the prop strike damage history would disapear. Its a buyers market right now and a 94 with 2440TT and 1770 on the motor with damage history, and its also comming up on needing an annual. I'd think about beating that price up some more
  4. Thanks for the info guys. Lucky for me I already have the long range tanks. As for the conversion I need to do some more research. I've heard of guys out there having their motors cranked up with out spending the money on the stc, granted you don't get the paper work and the log book entries, your pocket book feels a little better in the end. Has anyone else heard of this?
  5. I am looking into the 310HP conversion for my 97 ovation. From what I am told/researched the conversion consist of cranking up the fuel and govenor and adding a three bladed prop. The stc for this conversion seems to be very pricey. Already having the three bladed prop up front, I am curious as to weather it really matters as to which one. Also whos all out there doing these conversions. I would like to look at all of my options, and possibly which other ones may be out there. Thanks
  6. Old guy, Looked into the 696 a little more and I'm still leaning towards the 200. Not to mention already knowing the system and how good it looks sitting in the pannel. Besides its only money and you'll only make more. Time to stop shopping this, and start shopping 310 hp.
