As with many things I come to airplanes kinda late in life.

Through what I term "flightus interruptus" (money issues, time issues, engine rebuilds, flight instructor death, gear up landing-not me but my plane) I've been working on my  license over a period of 10+ years and on 4 different airplanes.

I graduated Georgia Tech with a PhD in computing at age 55.

Spent most of my working life (~20 years) teaching at 3 different colleges in Georgia.
