I am looking for an airspeed indicator for 1990 M20J 205 MSE

Yes I did. Thanks Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk -
Hello Mooney Friends, my bird is scrap metal due to corrosion in the wing, secondary spar etc. Now I am parting it out. A friend wants to use my new leather seats from my J in his 1980 K-model. The front seats seem to fit, but how about the rear seats and the side panels? Should they be interchangeable? Thanks for the advise! Irmin Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

This is indeed the best news. I pray it stays that way. The last year made me age twice at fast…

Hello Mooney friends. My wife recovered fine from Leukaemia, which is the best news in a very long time, so I am NOT complaining, but my bird is scrap metal due to corrosion in the wing etc. Now I am parting it out. She is under heavy medication after her stem cell transplant to prevent the new immune system from rejecting my wife. Also she has to take prophylactic chemo therapy to prevent the cancer from coming back. And so on. I am happy that she is alive and still with me[emoji1317]. It’s complicated and a different life than before but that’s okay… Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Everyone’s opinion so far was that the corrosion is too far, too deep for resumption of the wing Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

I indeed did sink in a small fortune. What comes to my mind is the joke about how to make a small fortune in aviation[emoji58]. My wife is alive and doing relatively well, but the last 10 month were pure horror. Yesterday I had the impression for the first time that she can feel herself again after such a long period of being stuffed with tons of super expensive drugs. What a promising sign of hope… Well, the MSE will not heal again and that wing will never fly again. Now I am looking for a way to get airborne again. By the way: Before the Mooney was diagnosed with lethal aluminum caries I did film an air-2-air session with her. At that time I did not even think that the coming ARC would be impossible, so I am happy to have those film snippets. Maybe I’ll edit it and post it. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

I am really devastated. I think it might be over. I mean maybe selling it for parts[emoji37] Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

All I have so far is photos made with the boroscope. SALT… Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Oh my gosh. Worst case scenario. It started with a little corrosion repair and now they discovered that they need to reskin the whole wing because of corrosion from the inside. I am devastated. Maybe better get a whole wing? I am shocked Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

What did you glue it in with? Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Roll Steering with only a single GI275?

Roll Steering with only a single GI275?
Irmin replied to Irmin's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
I forgot: As a NAV-source I have already installed the GTN750Xi -
Hello fellow Mooney-drivers! Help me out quickly: In order to eliminate the Vacuum system and also get Roll Steering with my trusted KFC-150, can I just use one GI275 instead of the original suction driven AI? I´ve seen installations with TWO GI275´s, one as AI and one as HSI, but could I just replace the AI as the HSI is electric anyhow? I have tried to use the search function, but no results. Maybe I am doing it wrong... Thanks, Irmin

This is indeed a possibility. Also the prop strike it had in Elba could have contributed to the frustration of the previous owner. I’ve put in so much money already, though, that I will repair it. Yes, it sucks. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

It was visible through the opening of an inspection cover. We could see it without any artificial vision enhancers [emoji6] Sticking the phone in there was enough to make some eye opening photos. Pun intended. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

I really do appreciate you guys writing those encouraging lines! Gives me strength. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Yes, that’s how it seems to me as well. Pity, really, that those wonderful efficient and fast platforms are so starved down to the minimum. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

I have ordered the 880024-005 fuel sight gauge in JANARY at Lasar. They let me know that they do not produce the gauges but only sell it. So I asked Mooney about them with no encouraging outcome. They let me know that they do whatever they can to get those gauges in order with their management. Also they ensured me that those gauges are optional anyhow… J A N U A R Y. Who sells me a pair of them as both decided to leave the wing while flying[emoji2959] Thanks, Irmin Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
