  1. The subject Mooney M20J was a 1978 model not a 1964.
  2. I owned a 1964 Mooney M20J that I recently sold, I am 86 years old, but like all old pilots I believe I can still fry. The only problem is I contracted Glaucoma so I can't pass my flight physical any more. Any way, so much for the sad story. Some years ago I'm one of those guys that got distracted and landed with the gear up. The landing gear actuator case got scratched a bit, but it is electrically and mechanically sound, The insurance replaced it any way. In case any one is in need of one, I have one for sale. Call me, Roman Gomez at 210-367-1075.
  3. Thanks for all the input. what happened was that the owner of the shop that had been doing maintenance and annuals for me for about eight years had my logs. The logs were lost when he moved his shop from one hanger to another. He bought some new blank log books and was going to reconstruct new ones. He kept putting it off for a couple of years but unfortunately he suddenly passed away. I was able to get into his computer, but he only kept copies of annuals and only up to 2014. So that's my sad story. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
  4. What can one do when one's maintenance logs are lost?
  5. You're right!!! There is a display window at the bottom of the gauge, All these years I never noticed. Mainly because it was turned off. There is a blurb about it in the supplemental pages in Fuel Management System section of the POH. It has an on/off/ dimmer knob at the top right of the gauge. When you top off the tanks (65 gal for mooney) you enter 65 in the display with a little toggle switch at the bottom left of the gauge. As you fly it counts down so you know how much fuel you have left. But no clue as to manufacturer.
  6. That's not a window in the instrument. It's a reflection off the glass.
  7. Could you post a picture of some of your xducers? I remember what mine looked like.
  8. I appreciate your response. The part number I listed is the number listed in the POH in the equipment installed section. The only other information I can show is a photo of the indicator mounted in the instrument panel. I guess I can get the make of the indicator if I remove it from the panel. That's the last resort though. P.S. Can't rotate image to the left.
  9. I own a 78 m20j. My mechanic removed the transducer for the fuel flow part or the gauge because he said it was faulty and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, my mechanic passed away. Now I can't find the transducer. I understand that the transducer "K" factor has to match the "K" factor of the fuel flow gauge. I can't find any information on this system. Does anyone have any experience with system?
