I bought the CGR-30 combo at Oshkosh 2022, the rebate was $1400 (vs $800 before Oshkosh). Definitely worth the wait. Edit: Found the Oshkosh rebate form from last year, -50P had a $2000 rebate

I just pull the main cushion up for easier access, and there is a spring loaded L shaped pin for each seat where the two meet in the middle...or it might be on the side, I can’t quite remember right now. Pull that, and slide that side of the seat (angled) towards the front of the plane. I would take photos for ya but it’s in the avionics shop for a couple weeks.

My M20F is finally making its way into the avionics shop this week, so here are a few items I’ll have for sale after the upgrade. If there is any interest, I will send photos. Everything is in fantastic shape. Shop is giving me $800 credit for each 106/306A. I also have 4 perfect condition overhead vents for the old school air flow from an upgrade a while ago. $1000 GI-106A $1000 MD200-306A SOLD: JPI EDM700 -fuel flow / temperature and integrated USB for data download $400 OBO: Sigma Tek directional gyro 1U262-004-15, autopilot compatible with STEC30 $250: ST-901 GPSS $160: 4xPlastic overhead vents with metal center piece, no cracks. @Rmfriday once the old panel comes out, I’ll let you know so I can ship it to you. Expecting 3 weeks from Wednesday, I’ll keep you posted.

The color I decided on was Ivory Silk, Satin Rust-oleum painters touch. They sell it at Home Depot. It’s a warmer color than the original that I had, but I really like it.

@redcatcher27 @AdamJD Thanks! I ordered the side panels and carpet from aerotex, same with the rear seat cloth material. I had a local upholstery shop remake the four headrests and do the rear seats, they came out great. I used Bruce’s restoration kit to fix and repaint all the plastics. All in, $1308 for the panels, carpet, and plastic restoration and another $400 for 4x headrests, two seat backs, and one rear seat cushion.

I have a 1967 M20F, how did you find out you have a C wing? If I can verify it would fit my Mooney…where do you live? -
Located HJO, Central Valley CA!

$750 Works perfectly, no discoloration, scratches, or broken/sticky/stuck buttons. No harness or rack included. Removing it for my PMA450 upgrade, and listing here before I put it on Ebay for a more. I’ll take more pictures when my 450 arrives Monday and we do the swap.

I already have the left panel cut, I’m only keeping the airspeed and STEC-30 TB indicators. A modified 6 pack…Your panel looks great! I feel like I’m independently installing the same mods you have, I’ve got the ARI cowl too.

That is awesome, I’m doing nearly the same with Gi-275 stack and EGR-30 combo first week in November. How much nicer is that instrument and engine monitor scan?!

Let’s hear those panel thoughts on my M20F

CGR-30 combo and the EI USB6A arrived, and the new panel is here too. Still waiting for the PMA450, and of course the GI-275s. Once I have the -275s, everything can be installed. Superior Aircraft did a very nice job designing and building the new panel, I love it. It’s a tease having most of the parts and having to wait still. US6A will go right side, below the SL-30/GTX-327 stack. Extra space for a couple more circuit breakers as well. -
Jaeger Aviation sells it for $2.00/foot. Give them a call, they have tan or grey. https://www.jaegeraviation.com/cost

Sure, it won’t be until November. 1967 M20F. I’ll update you when the old one comes out. You could just pay me for shipping if you want it.

Thanks all, I was able to take a good look Sunday and there is plenty of clearance both above and below. The current DG is actually above the yoke shaft already, and there is plenty of space through the entire control movement.

I have a finished design with Superior Aircraft and I just received my acrylic template. I know all panels aren’t created equally but…without pulling my panel apart: Does anyone know how much space is needed above the yoke for the panel? I currently have an 8 pack offset slightly, but it will soon be a 6 pack with a newly cut panel and the current design has the GI-275 stack centered on the yoke. And about how much space is required above the instruments, I will have to check for fitment to make sure the airspeed indicator will have clearance but if anyone knows that would be great.

I read the power setting articles from Bob Kromer, that’s where I got the above 3k leaning method from. Here are screen shots of different pages from different articles, one for climbing and one for cruise.
-
Same, I can’t remember where I read it but I usually wait until 3k to start leaning…and for my M20F 1250 EGT is about right.
-
And the back seats are simple to remove and reinstall, no tools required. Can’t beat the 67!
-
-
My 67’ has reclining front and reclining back, split seats. There is a round knob on the side of the front seats, with 3 different positions. Back seats have a lever on the side panel that you pull up on to adjust maybe 3 different ways as well.
