  2. Update, i turned it on and the operation is back to normal, however i see that it leaks fuel through the drain hole during use. i thitnk the part number on this thing is 610153 or 4140-00-19
  3. Curious if there is a way to overhaul these or if I need to find new. this is for a 1965 M20C Mark 21, 180 HP. During use it kinda makes the fuel pressure needle bounce around instead of a consistent increase in pressure. It sounds kinda funny too.

  11. Engine runs great and per borescope inspections from the last annual everything is looking great. A few years back when a cylinder was replaced the internals were checked out and also in very good shape. I dont anticipate an overhaul being necessary for a long while based on the engine condition. Perhaps a cylinder here and there or a top at some point. The plane flies often and doesn't sit. I use camguard regularly as well, although ive been told its not necessary since I am in a very dry environment here in Las Vegas. As for the price, i simply checked all the other mooneys for sale I could find on planephd, and priced mine where i feel it should be compared to everything else that is out there. Can definitely say I've put a ton of upgrades into the plane and its a solid aircraft. I've already received offers on it but in no rush to sell. At the moment the plane needs nothing. The only upgrade I was thinking about doing was installing a digitial altitude encoder (which i have and will be including with the sale if it it sold before installation).
  12. I am helping a friend sell an airplane. The contract template I found has standard language making the deposit non-refundable unless something serious or hidden is found in a pre buy affecting airworthiness. The buyer wants to change the language to make it so he can get his deposit back for any reason or no reason at all. What's the best way to proceed to ensure we are not wasting our time with this buyer?
  13. does anyone know how to wire the rear passenger headphone jacks? do i just connect two wires to the same wire going to the pilot or copilot jacks?
  14. anyone else have issues with zulu bluetooth disconnecting constantly and having difficulty reconnecting? putting fresh batteries in doesnt help.
  15. Found this pic online, but would like to find a way to have the little indent lock into place and keep the door open. My door opens and closes fine the issue is it wont "hold" open, and just swings closed with any wind whatsoever. Any tricks on repairing these or replacing them with some sort of air shock (3rd pic)?
  16. Would you take $350
  17. Master off. Normal reading. Engine is cold. Outside air temp about 75F. Master on, needle moves to far right instantly. Engine is cold. Outside air about 75F.
  18. cool. called em up. its $250 to overhaul + parts. im gonna see if its a wiring/sender issue first.
  19. Thanks I’ll check it out
  20. I have an oil temp guage that was bouncing around on the “hot” side, but now it’s stuck to “hot” during flight (needle leans to the far right and doesn’t move, in other words). It’s part of my original 6 guage cluster: Top 3: left fuel, right fuel, ammeter Bottom 3: oil temp; oil pressure, cht Any ideas how to diagnose the issue or repair it? i do have space in the panel to add a new guage but not sure if the probe/sensor end will fit in the same location this one is taking the temp from.
  21. yea its a situation where he is extremely hard headed and not willing to even let me have my logs back. if i walk into his office i get yelled at. hes an old grumpy dude and has no business being an A&P. he lost his IA a few years ago apparently. he claimed to be a mooney expert but has clearly shown he knows very little about them. he already got my $ ($9000 in 3 payments) and all i want is my plane back and a sign off. but at this point ill gladly wheel it out of there but he wont let me do anything. its on jacks still and locked in his hangar. if i dont get it back after this brake thing, i'm gonna prob talk to a lawyer about my options.
  22. i've offered to bring in another mechanic to finish the work, he wont even hear it. no one is allowed in his hangar. hes a dude in his 60's (looks like 80s) and has a lot of personal issues such as going through a divorce etc. i offered to buy new tubing, buy the flare tool kit, etc. he wont do anything except his way. my airplane is stuck there at a private airport in pahrump nevada 1 hour from where i live in las vegas. he came highly recommended by someone and i just blindly trusted and dropped my airplane there after a couple phone calls with the guy. ive had to drive there and back 25+ times now to do all of the work otherwise nothing gets done whatsoever. and now, he really hates my guts and makes everything super hard on me, this is just one example.
