Not sure what happened. It wasn't anything carb heat, electric fuel pump and switching magnetos could fix. Happened 5min after switching tank from R to L. Didn't think of it at the time, but I should have switched tanks again to see if it was my left tank fuel line was clogged, or here in ATL we have received so much rain, there may have been water in the fuel i pumped that morning (pumped Left tank first), or water in the fuel bladder, which didn't show in pre-flight. I am sure FAA and NTSB will let me know in due time. Got stacks and stacks of paperwork to fill out now. Managed to get 9.8 hours is my beautiful bird. Miss her tremendously.

I am getting a quote for a single test run in Aluminum 7075. David is getting a quote on testing an original block, to identify the material. There has been some interest in the pin in the up block too, but I have not taken any action on it.

I have not had any luck with the metallurgy testing. Several companies doesn't want to run in their machinery, in fear the Aluminum alloy will contaminate their machinery. Are there anyone out there who have any contact to testing an original block? I should have an old block in a week, we can do all the testing on we need to.

Been chatting with a couple of friends that works for a local military aircraft manufacturer, and it is being recommended to me we rent a Thermo Niton XRF Analyzer to determine the Zn level. Have dropped an email to find out what cost to rent one for one day. Next I spoke with a client with a university in MO, who does metal sciences, and he recommended a ICP analysis. Found a company that ICP tests, and have asked them for a quote. More to come. Anders J
