  1. I just spent a small fortune getting all the services in my KFC 200 replaced, including the trim servo. Now when I turn on the trim via the panel rocker switch it seems to work 50% of the time. Sometimes it works perfect, sometimes I get a flashing trim light. If I toggle the yoke trim switch I can hear clicking, so I think it's working ok. Seems like the panel rocker switch is having issues, has anyone else seen this?
  2. My process is not to actually "pull" my mixture, but I turn it back REALLY fast unti my TIT peaks and comes back down, then I adjust to get my tit around 1590. Purrs like a kitten.
  3. Just throwing my hat int he ring here. io-360-lb, intercooler, gami's, tempest fine wire plugs, jpi 830. What i've found best on my engine is to do the big pull and keep my TIT under 1600, generally around 1590. engine temps are fantastic, runs smoother, and last flight was true at around 155 on the aspen and 9.9gph. Can't complain around that!
  4. I've been troubleshooting issues with my AP lately. my AME found that my roll servo was dripping with TKS fluid. They think it's coming from the access panel and getting sucked in, i'm just wondering if anyone else has run into an issue like this? Plane is a 81 M20K w/ TKS and KFC200 AP
  5. Who is Alan fox? I checked on ebay and I can't find the exact part number I need unfortunately.
  6. I seen those on ebay. I could buy a used one to get me buy for the next 6 months and consider my options for an upgrade....
  7. The pitch servo for my auto pilot failed and needs to be replaced. I got a quote of $3500usd to get it done. Just checking to see whats going on with garmin and Trutrak before I spend this money. I do have an Aspen 1000 Pro right now with all the extras to run the auto pilot as well.
  8. So, I checked my AP on the ground, no issues. Flew it up to my AME, and it worked perfect in level flight, as soon as I pushed the nose down button, it kicked off. I tried a full gps approach and on the left turns it also kicked off the AP. My AME has not been able to duplicate the issue on the ground. Any ideas?
  9. Thanks Bob, i'll give that a try
  10. Hadn't been flying for awhile (the joys of being busy, can finally afford a plane, but no time to fly) so decided to up and do some circuits and make sure all is well. my KFC200 auto pilot was working fine in heading mode, did a rnav approach, one the next time around when I tried to activate it (pushing heading, alt and button up to activate) When I would push the activate button up, I just get a beep over the annuciator. Thats it. Any ideas? I just had the autp pilot rebuilt about a year ago...so kind worried. I do have it slaved to an Aspen Pro as well.
  11. Well, he figured it out. When the primer button was pushed and it tried to flow fuel, the jets were clogged. So nothing could move. Because of this the fuse popped. So the system protected itself like it should and nothing was wrecked... I got away cheap!
  12. He said the solenoid seems to be ok. It couldn't be an issue with the electric pump could it?
  13. He thinks it’s the resistor. Pump runs fine, and the divertor seems to work ok, but pump doesn’t run when the prime button is pushed. But he can’t find the resistor. he figures it’s 30a
  14. Well...guess who also has two thumbs and needs a new priming pump.......fack. Went to start the plane, hit the prime button and you could just hear the pump fade away. Got the plane started with the high boost pump and took it over to my ame. You can hear the pump click when you push the button but thats it. So. I'm on the hunt for either a new pump or to get this one rebuilt. it's for a 320-LB Any help would be greatly appreciated!
