Retired airline. Grew up in back seat of dad's Stinson which he flew away from factory in 1947 and I bought from him in 1973. Still have it, although it is languishing in a restoration. Was the airport kid in Iowa, CFI at 18 flying Mooneys for the local distributor. 3 years at Purdue Univ flying DC-3's and DC-6's for Purdue Airlines. 37.2 years with Northwest Airlines flying B727, 707, 757, 747-400, DC-10. Besides Stinson, have owned M35 Bonanza, C310F, Christen Eagle, 7ECA Citabria, and now, back to my youth, the M20C. Not an A&P, but have been up to my elbows in aircraft maintenance forever, under the wing of some great ones.
