  1. I used the Gleim book and the typical FAA publications for study material while taking flight lessons with my instructor. I got the book almost two years ago, but some life events kept me from getting finished as quickly as I wanted and I was delayed until they rolled out the new written exam. I finally took the written in June and got an 88% on it. Would have done better except for the cluster at the testing center and was in a rush to get back to work. I think Gleim is decent if you are willing to investigate and learn further on your own following the questions that they present. I don't think any of the test guides are a good replacement for curiosity and an eagerness to learn. Hopefully I will get to go for my Instrument Rating checkride next week!
  2. Thanks Mike! I'm happy to drive out to Pogue sometime. I used to ride my bike around the north end of the field once a week. I'll PM you my phone number.
  3. I've been researching Mooney's for a while and think I want to eventually get either an E or a J model. Trouble is, I haven't ever seen one in person, let alone sat in or flown one. I'm a 100hr pilot with most of my time in a Warrior. Are there any folks on here in the Northeast Oklahoma area, or does anyone know of a Mooney pilot in the area that wouldn't mind sharing knowledge with a noob?
  4. It shows up on both my installations. Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 6+
  5. I am getting into flying to take the family travelling and was wondering how many hours I should have under my belt before getting serious about getting into a more capable plane than the warrior I learned on. I have been dreaming about an M20J. I will be working on an instrument rating towards the end of the year.
