  1. I own an 2008 Ovation 3, and I'm having an alternator problem. Can someone please tell me what voltage regulator is used and where it's located? Thank you
  2. SOLD
  3. sold
  4. OK, I own an 1980 231 with a TSIO360LB engine and I currently use Champion RHM 38E spark plugs. It's time to change the plugs and would like a recommendation from a 231 guru. Is there a better plug for my engine than Champion and why? Thank you, Jon
  5. OK, the GPS is no longer for sale. I'm very sorry for any confusion, It was not my intent.
  6. OK guys, I want to be up front with everyone. My intention was to sell my 12 Volt 530W with terrain, for $500 over trade in value. My local shop, Avionics Solutions in Lafayette, LA gave me a price of $5,500. I added $500 to come up with $6,000. Gulf Coast Avionics, in Florida gave me a trade in price of $6,500. That would bring it to $7,000. I'm not trying pull one over on anyone, I'm just trying to be consistent with my original intent. I have a price quote from Gulf Coast to back up what I am saying. I have also given someone first refusal on the GPS. Est_11053_from_Gulf_Coast_Avionics_2044(1).pdf
  7. Just got my M20K home and it's in need of an oil change. It currently has Aeroshell plus, but I have always used Phillips X-Country. The engine is an LB with an intetcooler and waste gate.
  8. In my humble opinion, If the engine still has low time, I would take It apart, clean it up, hone the cylinders and put new rings. I would also comply with any service bulletins and AD's. as long as you don't have any rust or corrosion, I would not be afraid to fly it. I would also go through the mags and carb. Good luck!
  9. I have 4 or 5 people interested in the 530. I have told them who is first and second in line to buy. At this point, I will not take a deposit until I have the unit in hand. I can then send better pictures a long with part and serial numbers. Thank you everyone for your interest. Jon
  10. Just got a trade-in price from the radio shop for the 530W of $5,500. I will sell it for $6,000 plus shipping.

  12. Hello All, I'm buying an M20K with a 530W with terrain, and I plan on upgrading to the Garmin 750. I'm going to trading it in, but I won't get anywhere near what it's worth. I know they retail for $8K to $9K. The shop will only give about $6K. Anyone interested, I will take $500 over what ever the trade-in price is, plus shipping. I will be more than happy to give you the shop name and phone number, along with their written price quote. I will not be able to pick up the plane until September 25th. So it will be after that before I can get it into the shop for removal. I will also have the audio panel and transponder if interested.
  13. Perfect! I just looked at their website, I plan on doing the same.
  14. That is exactly what I was wanting to know!!! Thank you very much for your time... My next question is on the O2 system. I have never flown the Mooney that had one. All of my experience has been in a pressurized jet. Years ago I flew a T210, but I had a portable bottle. Is it automatic system or do I need to manually regulate it?
  15. I sold my M20C and I'm now buying an M20K 231 with an intercooler and a merlyn waste gate. I would like to know what manifold pressure and RPM to run. I would also like to know how to run lean of peak. What is the best delta for this engine? If you have run a TSIO-360-LB1 engine to TBO, "without" having to top the engine, you are pilot I'm looking to hear from.
  16. It's time to altitude. I get 400 to 600 feet per minute so, that's 20 minuets to 10 thousand feet. My wife starts bitching after the first 5! LOL! I would really like to have 900 to 1000fpm climb and a lot more speed. If the wife's not happy, nobody is happy!!! But!!! In her defiance, how many wife's will tell their husband, "Go ahead and get a faster plane, I would like that, and make sure it has everything you want!" I love that woman!!!
  17. Thank you very much! It's almost like putting a child up for sale. LOL! She also has all new stainless screws.
  18. Serial number: 2480 Useful load 1050lbs
  19. 1963 M20C for sale. I know it's on the high end for an M20C but, please take a look at what all I have done before you question it. I spent many hours working on her to get her to this condition. My asking price is $59,500.00 I'm only selling her to get something to fly higher (cooler air for my wife) and faster. All work was completed from October 2014 to March 2017 I will entertain any reasonable offer but, PLEASE do not try to insult me with a low ball offer. 20. You guys have given a headache!!!! Brain overload!!!! Too much information!!!! LOL!!! From what I see, it doesn't matter what I buy, all Mooney's are good! I think I'm on the hunt for a 231 or 252. Inter cooler is a must. Bravo, is a good plane but, might cost more per hour than I want to spend. I can't afford anything newer, not sure what I can find a in my price range. I'm looking in the $95K to $120K range. I want something with less than 800 hours SMOH (engine and prop), autopilot w/altitude hold and Garmin radios, WAAS GPS, engine monitor and a fuel computer. Decent paint but, interior can be in need of upgrade. I have had a few people asking me when I plan on selling my M20C. The answer is, end of summer, unless I find that perfect Mooney! Doesn't look like I will have any problem selling my Mooney with all of the extras she has. Thank you again to everyone, your input was invaluable!!! Jon Martin
  21. With an 18gph burn, the Bravo, seems to be a lot more to operate than the others.
  22. Thank you Paul! I would love to see your 252. Maybe in August, I have vacation then. I will be in touch.
  23. What is the fuel burn compared to the 231 and 252?
  24. I was told that the engine in the Bravo has a reputation for not making TBO.
  25. Thank you for the compliment but, She didn't look like that when I bought it. I spent a lot of time and money on this plane. In my humble opinion, it's one of the nicest you will ever find. I will be adding it to the for sale column in a couple of months. Don't really want to sell her until the end of summer.
