Not much of a day for flying

It has been raining ice for 24 hrs and predicted for another 24 hrs!! 22F right now on the ground and obviously warm air above us. Worst ice storm in several years. Not only is it not safe to fly, it isn't even safe to walk to the mailbox it is so slippery. See the structural ice on the branches. Another picture I posted there is structural ice on my dog cupid who has been sleeping in the ice-rain for an hour or so.

I have a feeling this will close our runway for several days since the plow may fall behind and then the hard freeze that will follow will lock the thick ice in place - too thick to remove.

Luckily we are cozy by the fire.
