Fuel Leak

I have just purchased my first Mooney. A 1977 M20J. All in all I'm really happy with the airplane. Fast and efficient. My right tank was sealed in 2010 by the previous owner. I notice when the tank is full I have a small wet spot of fresh fuel at the front edge of the gear housing. Any suggestions as to where to go from here would be greatly appreciated. It's not terrible and I don't believe air worthy but I'd like to get ahead of the problem before it becomes more severe. Thanks for your help!

The POH describes what is a small vs. large leak.

I had my Monroy-long-range equippped '69 E-model's 88gallons worth of tanks completely stripped and resealed due to leaks (prior to new paint).

The original LR tank installation was done at a shop in north FL that will remain nameless and lasted only 4-5 years. I took it to Edison Gomez (Wet Wingologists) at KFXE (Ft. Lauderdale Exec) and have been happy with the work. Warranty for 7 years.  Gomez is an Ecudorean fellow that basically trained under the now retired Jose Monroy, seller of the LR tank STC kits.

Do your research. There are several other posting on this site specifically about this subject. I recently (as of 10 days ago) picked up mine from a shop on the west coast. I am very happy with the results (good guys to deal with) and most importantly they know what they are doing. Advanced Aircraft, just outside PXD (. Troutdale Oregon)
