  1. Thanks for the quick response Ruthie! I sent you an email. This forum is definitely a valuable resource!
  2. send me an email at Ruth@griggsaircraft.com

  3. Does anyone have the installation drawings/instructions for the bladder installation procedure? Trying to get an idea of the amount of work involved and decide if I want to pull the trigger on the 54 or 64 gallon system.
  4. Thanks for the details. I will look for those holes and clips. Hopefully I'll get mine back in soon.
  5. Quick question while this is fresh on your mind. I'm getting ready to install a headliner in a C model. The headliner has already been removed and I've been told that there are wire bows that slip thru and hold the headliner up? How do those bows fasten in the ceiling? I don't see where they would sit in the ceiling of the plane.
  6. Gary, I ended up using Tiffin Aire. They took care of me with no issues. The total price was around $300 if I remember correctly. Overall I would recommend them.
  7. Just noticed your username... I happen to like fast motorcycles also I will definitely let you know the next time I visit PMH. I do all of my own maintenance. I have a very good IA here that performs my annual inspections.
  8. I frequent Portsmouth quite often myself... I'm based at KHOC. I also owned a lowly C150 for about five years before getting my Mooney. Let me know if you'd like to go flying...
  9. I'll have to read it again, but I'm pretty sure the AD states that it can be performed by a Certified Repair Station or an appropriately rated A&P. Jetdriven - That is what I'm afraid of... I have heard similar horror stories. I'm an A&P myself and know that there is nothing wrong with my prop.
  10. Does anyone happen to have the Hartzell Standard Practices Manual 202A that the Service Bulletin refers to in order to perform this inspection? I have friends with NDT certification and eddy current equipment that could perform this inspection if we had the documentation. It doesn't look like Hartzell is very forthcoming with this data though...
  11. For everyone's information, I did contact Hartzell about performing the inspection and got the following response: "Seth, If your propeller is within our published TBO time frame, we can perform the ECI on the aircraft at our Hartzell Airfield. The ECI charge is $200.00 and we ask that you allocate about a hour and a half to have this completed. If your propeller is outside of our published TBO, we would require the propeller to be overhauled. Please contact me if you have any further questions or would like to schedule this service." Unfortunately, even though my prop is very low time since overhaul, it is outside of Hartzell's calendar time BTW overhauls. Too bad, I was really liking that $200 figure.
  12. AD 2006-18-15 has been around for awhile... It affected many different airframes. Mike - Thanks sharing your experience with Aircraft Specialist.
  13. Dave, thank you for the info. I knew that there was another method of compliance by having the hub filled with oil, but did not realize that it would be that reasonably priced. Was the total cost of the modification and overhaul $1000?
  14. My prop is very low time since overhaul and is in perfect condition. I just can't justify a new propeller or the cost of an overhaul with new hub.
