Has anyone had one of the rubber couplers fail in their early electric gear C's or Execs? Check out the photo. While working on putting in a smooth belly kit from LASAR I found a chunk of rubber on the panel. After further investigation, my IA partner goes "whoa....look at this". If that coupler had failed completely, even manual extension would not work. As I look at the design, am i right? Now to find one and find what Mooney calls it.

I have a 1977 M20J model with a Dukes gear motor. I'm looking for a place to get it overhauled, including the brushes, not just the actuator. Having problems finding a place that can overhaul it or that has an overhauled motor for less than the price of my house. The existing motor is model number 1057-00-5G Serial number 0134 It was last overhauled by George's Electrical Service in Sacramento and they just went out of business in Dec. Thanks for any input.

We need a good Cleveland 40-24 wheel assembly (6.00x6 mains) with bearings. This is the one with screw retained double seal retainer plates on the outside and a screw retained cap on the inside. I have new tires on hand . I also plan to replace both brake discs Cleveland 164-9 or 164-109. So a servicable or new pair of these are also of interest (wear limit is .227inch min.). You can find me on the Members list, and send a private message that I will get by e-mail. Or, just post here and I will send you a private. Steve 65E-NC
