Fellas, My plane is in annual and I'm attempting a light refurb on the interior. Since the panels are removed, I'm looking to fix the broken flap cable. The cable broke where it attaches near the flaps and now the flap indicator is forever stuck at T/O flaps. The cable is .058" diameter and approximately 8ft long. I need help finding a replacement inner cable or suitable ersatz inner cable. The only inner cable I could find on Aircraft Spruce is inner Bowden cable, but that is .078" and I don't think I'll be able to shove that through the outer cable housing. I emailed Don Maxwell last week for guidance, but have yet to hear back from him. I also emailed LASAR today, but wanted to check with you guys to see if any of you have a source or at least some recommendations. Thank you in advance! v/r, Raygun

After completing the annual inspection I put the panels back together in order to crank the aircraft for a warmup. When I pulled the throttle back and forth to pump it a few times the throttle cable broke right off. I tried searching for a new one from Spruce but they do not sell one for the Mooney. LASAR caries them but they are around 350 dollars. Modworks sells them for about 500. Does anyone have a lead for a source that sells them a bit cheaper? Also, while searching for the cable I came across a SB that describes what happened to my cable and calls out for a replacement kit; however, I could not find it anywhere for sale.

Used throttle cable removed from my 65E. I replaced all my cables with new more asthetically appealing ones. This one is still in great shape after only 2200 hours in service but has the silver knob. $50.
