Oh boy - I've just picked up my Ovation after a few long weeks of separation as my 550-G was replaced with a 550-N, and my 3-blade McCauley was swapped for a new Hartzell scimitar top prop under the 310 HP Midwest Mooney STC by the good folks at Cavalier Aviation in Calgary. I also went in for an Aspen MFD.
Performance on the take-off roll is noticeably snappier - even at CYBW's 4000'. I was off in less than 2000', and climb to 10,000 was easily 1000 fpm at 2700 rpm. Fuel burn was about 2 gpm more than the 550-G at 2500 rpm, but I'll take the extra performance.
