There are two of us (at least) in Houston looking for a partnership and I learned to fly at Anson/KSGR. A half share at that price would be a stretch for me presently but I'm trying to upgrade my position at work...

I am in the same boat. E and F seem to be far more cost effective than a J as they tend to run 10s of thousands cheaper than a J.....but I'm open to discuss. I don't think I can swing even half the price of the average K+ though. Ideally I'd like to have something in the ballpark of a 430 in the panel....or plans to add one. Shoot me a message if you wanna discuss this further.

Camping with the scouts this weekend, in theory would be available around 2pm Sunday. The following weekend is when I expected to have more time, but I may have to make an unplanned trip to Baton Rouge to check on Mom... Will let ya know.

I am 5'00". I there any hope of me flying a Mooney safely if people that are 5'6" are needing extensions?

After looking at (the specs at least) many different planes, the Mooney seems to be a balance of what I desire for my the needs of my family. Now I realize this isn't a surprise to anyone here....but anyway.. Before buying (I hope to do that in 2013) I would love to go up in a Mooney to see how they feel. Ideally in a M20J (as this has been the model I have extensively researched and a M20K 252. The K may slightly fall outside my price range but the performance increase over the J is enough to not dismiss. I, of course, am willing to cover the associated costs with a joyride.
