  1. Jack, They flush the system with distilled water. I'd believe its because the the glycol-based TKS fluid prevents the adhesive from properly bonding. You have to reprime the system with fluid once the adhesive has cured. Regards, Tom
  2. Jack, I lost one last year. The only source that I was able to find was CAV, and I'd believe that they had it shipped from the factory in England. Brace yourself. It is a seriously expensive piece of titanium. $1400 sticks in my mind. I had the adhesive on the other one checked immediately; it wasn't up to snuff. To the extent that my experience is indicative, they should be checked periodically and reglued at the first sign of weakness. As I'm about to hit send, one idea comes to mind - last year on ebay there was a guy selling parts salvaged from a downed TKS S model. I would do a past listings search. He might still have it and be willing to sell you a stall strip. Regards, Tom
