Hi Cruiser,
I noticed you posted a problem you were having with intermittent radio noise back in April 2015. You mentioned that you were getting an annual done soon. Did you get your radio noise problem resolved? What was the cause? Your problem sounds very similar to mine. My radio noise usually pops up just as I enter the pattern. I just had my GNS 530 pulled and sent in for a WAAS upgrade. The transponder was replaced with a new GTX 345. The audio panel was also replaced with a new PMA8000BT. Still the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated.

I am putting a complete new panel in now. I will let you know if the problem goes away but I always suspected it was something in the mags causing the noise.
