I was reminiscing about airplanes as I sometimes do and I came across the tragic story of my old airplane N4387W and what sounds like it's newest owner.
I was partners in N4387W and sold the airplane to the Hofer's back 18 years ago.
Here is a photo of the magnificent airplane the day I picked it up from paint at Dial Eastern Aircraft Painting.
I'm so sorry to see a tragic ending.
I flew this airplane to Mexico from Miami to Cozumel and also to North Eleuthera, Bahamas on a separate trip.
Me and my partners salivated for a Rocket Mooney and ultimately purchased Darwin Conrad's Malibu JetProp #26. Hopefully it is still flying. N26TF. (formerly N126SR).
N4387W was based at Baltimore BWI while I was an owner.
I loved it.
