Thanks guys for the info and downloads, I will go by the airport tomorrow and see if I can hear the starting vibrator buzzing or not, I will pass this information along to the mechanic, it might save time troubleshooting.

Thanks for your replies, I am leaning towards the shower of sparks being the problem because it goes from not even trying start to an instant fire up when it finally starts.if that is the problem would it be better to install a Surefly mag to replace it?

I bought this plane last May, starting procedure for cold start was to pump throttle twice and crack open the throttle and start. It usually started within a few turns. Now recently the last few times it is not firing up like that. Went out last week I tried to start it 4 times, nothing is working, I was about to give up before I ran the battery down, and I tried one more time and it started running almost instantly. I was going to have an A&P look at this week, anybody know what could be causing this problem. Thanks

I called Don Maxwell Aviation again, they have a 7 year warranty also, it’s almost half the price and 800 miles closer. I believe I will go with Maxwell.

I bought a 1968 M20G with 32 gallons per wing back in May 2024, pre buy found leaks on both wings. The seller had them repaired but I now have a new leak on right side. I decided to to get both wings totally stripped and resealed. Mooney service center quoted $3500.00 per wing, got a quote from Wet Wingologist for 6150.00 per wing with a 7 year warranty. Any recommendations on which one to go with? Thanks for your input.

How many hours do go between oil changes with the challenger reusable filter?

Need some information about oil filter adapters, first does the Casper Labs CL1000A-STC , part no. 08-01094 fit on my M20G O-360-A1D engine? And if anyone has used this brand is it maintenance friendly or would the Donaldson adapter be better? Thanks in advance for your help.
