  1. Buuuuump. Would love to rehome this to someone in need. PM for price.
  2. I would've kept the A220 if it fit in my new panel. It was a solid com radio. Never had an issue with it.
  3. Hey all, recently redid my panel. I replaced this switch panel with the vertical one. Let me know if interested!
  4. Just redid my panel and have some things becoming available. First up, the iCom IC-A220T (TSO). I replaced this radio with the Dynon SV-COM. It worked great for me, never any issues. For reference, Spruce sells it new for $2150: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/avpages/icom11-14551.php
  5. Correct, it can be used with their autopilot, but it isn't "only" for the autopilot.

  7. I have a TSO’d version for sale. Worked great as a COM 1 for a while. I just redid my panel which is why it’s available.
  8. Yup! I have big plans for this airplane and I already have many stories to tell about it, from "Why Mooney?" to sourcing this exact airplane, to the big one, everyone wants to know how much things cost. I plan on making a video about all the work she's had done down in Florida, too! Please Like, Subscribe, Follow, & Stay Tuned for More!
  9. Got mine painted at Hawk, too! Took a while, and it's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but Joe was very patient with my timeline, which went a bit sideways, and I am happier with how my plane looks today than when I dropped it off.
  10. That's interesting. I read that BMW chose amber light for their dashboards for night visibility because it was easy on the eyes, and also what fighter planes used for night lighting. I had visibility in mind but it wasn't the primary influence of my design choice. I wanted something that would make me smile whenever I looked at it, especially given the magnitude of the investment I was making.
  11. Planes over 30 years old are considered vintage aircraft category and can keep the small numbers. However, if I want to fly internationally (which I don't) I'd have to vinyl on some 12" numbers.
  12. Thanks a lot! Yeah I designed the entire livery. The eye mask was half inspired by the new Airbus NEO jets, and half inspired by the BMW "Hofmeister Kink" window bend. I wanted to add a design feature that hints that this is a "modern" classic Mooney. She may be a 1967, but inside it's all-electric, touchscreen, wifi, bluetooth, leather, ultra suede and LEDs.
  13. My other design frontrunner was chalk grey (Fashion Grey like the new Porsches), but then you wouldn't be able to see it in partially cloudy/overcast days. At the end of the day, I have ADS-B in/out.
  14. Yes it's ultra suede. This is what I have for now but I'll take more next time I'm at the airplane.
