  1. They've been trying to sell one locally for like the last year... No takers though
  2. Hi, are you still doing this? Will it fit these switches?
  3. This is definitely what I think happened. After modifying my leaning, the problem has gone away
  4. This is the plan if I have any problems again
  5. Yes. I've always leaned just nowhere near enough. I figured just bringing it further down a bit was enough. It was not.
  6. Ah yes. DA here is rarely less than 5-6000. Field elevation is 3950.
  7. I used this method every time up until a week ago. (See my thread about maybe replacing a cylinder.) A local guru (not my AP) told me it's no wonder I have wet plugs with that procedure and what I'm doing is washing the oil off the walls with the fuel. I was having somewhat violent shut downs also. (shaking hard, etc) I tried his method which is almost the same and it seems way nicer on the engine. T he only change is: throttle at idle. My mind was blown! My shutdown and hot start was sooo silky smooth.
  8. I don't have higher than normal cylinder temp and I do get a mag drop. It was out of tolerance for the right mag. I would get 2-300 on the right and have to really lean it out.
  9. I'm taking this post to say thank you to you guys. Y'all have been helpful and supportive. It's very appreciated, great community...
  10. There's not a single person, I've spoken to that says this has worked for them. I think the score right now is 0- 12 between both online and at the airfield. I'm willing to give it a shot though
  11. I've let mine get down to 5 on occasion with no discernable difference in performance. I'm going to really watch the next hours and change the oil at 30ish to see if there's any change
  12. I feel like this is likely what is happening. What is the recourse?
  13. I change it around 35-40. I intend to lean it alot more now. I tell you, today was a day and night difference. Especially since I usually cruise at 6500+
  14. 1 every 6-8 hours. It spits down to 6 qts immediately and stays there for about 6-8 hours
