  1. Caffeine is now kicking in. With regards to switching yoke models, I'm basically asking if anything other than the original or the P/N 940021-505 yokes are STC'd (or reasonable to do a field approval).
  2. @Marauder @KSMooniac @M20Doc The avionics shop is under the impression that Mooney HQ said that the aircraft is only 'legal' with either of two SKUs/Part Numbers - basically, the original M20F yokes OR the $10.5k P/N 940021-505. Might it be ok (allowable/certified/etc) to get salvage J model yokes (and possibly the other components listed) and install those? Or might the interpretation from the avionics shop that only two different yokes are 'legal' be accurate? Thanks!
  3. Nice! Are the wires routed inside of the yoke? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Here is what I have. I was hoping to maybe turn the PC override into PTT and mount AP disco at the back of that top left side and run the wires down the inside of the horn. Was disappointed to find that the PC override comes down two thin tubes rather than a fat vac tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The only approved upgrade SKU to modern style yokes costs $10.5k and has a 25 week wait, per Mooney [emoji43] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello, friends! My 68 model year M20F has the original style yoke horns with just a single PC disconnect button (which is no longer in use). The aircraft is currently getting all modern avionics and autopilot. What have other vintage Mooney owners done for mounting and placement of PTT, pitch trim, and AP disconnect controls? Would love to see what you have! Thanks!
  7. I do think I’d prefer a pair of black handles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Good idea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Interesting re:model year. So mine may better match ones that proclaim to be a 68? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Beautiful! I am in need of at least one - but two would make it a matching pair! Let me know how it works. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi, John! I tried messaging you but it says you cannot receive messages. Did you end up discovering an extra handle/lever? Thanks!
  12. 1967. Sorry about not seeing the reply! Learning this platform Serial 680002 Airworthiness date of 10/26/1967 I just broke my other seat recline handle! Brittle plastic and lots of resistance. May need another handle & the assembly behind it...
  13. In the case of my 67F, I was just looking for the handle itself. I was only able to find a handle w/the bracket & cable (eBay). Procured this and tried the handle on the existing assembly - but the existing components seem frozen in place. In April, I get an avionics package (including autopilot) and my interior will be removed. This one challenge will wait until then. Thanks for the replies!
  14. Hello, friends! The photos that were posted on this page of the before/during/after the brake rotation no longer load. Might anyone have any before/after photos of their STC'd brake situation? Or at least some after photos. Thanks!
  15. Hello! First post and I hope I've selected the correct section. Been a Mooney owner for a full 2 days now I'm having trouble finding a replacement rear seat (LH) recline lever. Might anyone have a line on those? Thanks!
