It's time to paint my 75 F Model. Ive called and emailed a few shops recommended by folks at my airport but have yet to receive a proposal in writing or a date when I can bring it in. Anyone have a particular shop they would recommend. I'm looking to paint it in the original 1975 Republic Steel scheme and match the existing colors as close as I can. I'm based in Connecticut but I'm looking for a shop that does a good job, and isn't booked into 2023. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Mine used to be intermittent. I recently had some avionics work done and the shop when they put it back together fixed it. 1975 F -
I had originally bought the G5's, but when they went to put them in they weren't confident as to how they would appear in my panel due to the cutting and filing that would be required to make the install aesthetically pleasing to sit behind. My understanding was they couldn't guarantee the alignment of the indicators and for an additional $2500 I'd get the latest. the thought of spending all that money and then be staring at some misalignment or having my airplane hacked and filed made the decision easier.

I had that software installed yesterday. It puts the HDG/GPSS on the top level menu when depressing and holding the AI knob. A switch would be nice - I was going to ask at Oshkosh

Here is the quote I had to install (2) GI275's in my 75 F model. I replaced my KMA20 with a serviceable GMA347 they had when someone did a panel upgrade. I pulled the trigger, they are installed and I'm loving how they look. Next year I'll be installing the G500. I had them upgrade my existing GTN650 to a new GTN650xi for an additional $3000. I was $19175 out the door then had to spring another $1250 for a annual database for the GTN and the new 275's - plus a one time $500 extra for the Synthetic Vision Upsell...I mean upgrade.
