Hello Mooniacs: I have always loved Mooneys, and I just joined this forum. I am a 200 hour pilot (primarily tailwheel and glider) and have been in a partnership on a 1948 Cessna 170 for 4 years. It is a really lovely peach of a tailwheel VFR-only aircraft. I now feel ready to transition to a more serious/fast cross-country mount and work on my IFR rating. I have been looking at a friend's 1962 M20C based out of Fort Worth which has been very well cared for with numerous speed-mods, avionics and interior upgrades. Total time is 4000+ hours, with 400+ hours remaining before engine overhaul. Having just begun my search for the "right" aircraft, I am looking forward to exploring the market for an older, mid-time engine, (hopefully) manual gear, mostly steam gauge, IFR-equipped bird. I am looking to partner with 1 or 2 individuals on the purchase of a $50-$75k vintage Mooney and operate it out of Aero Country (T31) or McKinney Regional (KTKI) in North Dallas. I am open to exploring other locations in North Dallas such as Addison (KADS) or Rockwall (F46). I'd be grateful for any suggestions or information. Best regards!
